"I do realize that part of our low rating is our fault. We arrived at dusk and had trouble finding the location (streets are not well marked). There was no key in the lockbox, fortunately a call to Marina meant that we were quickly saved! Lights in the common hallway leading to the stairs were out so it was a dark entry. "Herdade Do Touril is one of the nicest places we have stayed in our many travels around the world. The facilities are quite nice and well maintained. The property is like none other, surrounded by thousands of acres of farmland. It’s quiet, relaxing and one gets a sense of bring “away from it all” and yet there are miles of walking and biking trails along the ocean as well as through the farming areas.
