This area is the heart of Xixinan, known for its well-preserved traditional Huizhou architecture, including ancestral halls, old residences, and stone bridges over small waterways. The layout is quite compact and walkable, with narrow lanes winding past white-walled buildings with grey tiled roofs. You'll find many of the guesthouses and local eateries tucked away in these historic streets.

Couples often find this area ideal for a peaceful and culturally rich escape. Staying within the village allows for easy, unhurried exploration of its historic sites, such as the impressive Cheng's Ancestral Temple or the tranquil gardens, offering a truly relaxing experience.

The best time to visit Xixinan is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) months.
