Offering an incredible amount of space for a Cape Cod retreat, this upscale, three-story home is an extraordinary escape for two families or an extended family vacationing together. Not only can you walk to Wellfleet village and harbor - you'll be greeted back at home by an in-home sauna, and wonderful outdoor spaces among the trees. This sprawling home is located just up the road from the shores of Wellfleet Harbor, a little over a mile from the center of town. It's a prime spot for beach-goers, with Indian Neck Beach (on the harbor), Newcomb Hollow Beach (on the ocean), and White Crest Beach (on the ocean) all within three miles. The famed Wellfleet Cinemas - Cape Cod's only drive-in theater - is five miles south as well. Much of your summer will revolve around the property's patios and decks, which provide ample outdoor space for everything from morning coffee to afternoon barbecues. Ride your bikes home from the beach to rinse off in the outdoor shower, and get the gas grill going for a dinner of burgers and hot dogs. There are dining sets on both the upper and lower decks. The main part of the house is the perfect place to gather, offering a living room with three sofas, a smart TV. Adjoining this space are a beautiful kitchen with stainless steel appliances (including a gas stove), a dining room, and the deck just outside. But one of the special features of this home is the second complete living space in the other wing, where you'll find another kitchen, another dining area, a living room with a smart TV, and a deck. At night, there are six comfortable, air-conditioned bedrooms to choose from. On the ground floor, find a primary suite with its own sauna and direct access to the hot tub outside, as well as a connected bunk room with a TV. On the second floor, there's a larger primary suite with its own balcony and bathroom with a jetted tub and shower. The rest of the bedrooms can be separated off in the second, independent wing if you so choose. They include two more bedrooms on the second floor and one more bedroom on the third floor. Additional features of the house include two washers/dryers, high-speed WiFi, and a desk workspace in case you plan on getting some remote work done. Close to so many beautiful beaches just a short drive away! The house is very unique with lots of charm. As others have mentioned, there are plenty of bedrooms but some can only be accessed through others with can be awkward. The kitchen lacks cookware sufficient for the number of bedrooms, there is little room to store food but there are a lot of plates! There is no lobster pot which is de rigueur for a house on the Cape. There are NO instructions on ANYTHING including how to light the stove or get a beach sticker and the information from Vacasa was wrong. That said, we had a great time and the location is lovely. The house was spacious, very clean, and offered nice linens and quiet areas to retreat from the group. While it featured six bedrooms, which we needed, three required access through another bedroom—something to consider for guests seeking more privacy. Clarity in the house description is recommended.A few amenities were not functional: the gas fireplace didn’t work, and the fire pit’s base had collapsed, so we chose not to use it. There were also several minor annoyances—none deal-breaking, but collectively noticeable: missing switch knobs, torn screens, a freezer drawer that caught when opening, cookware that hadn’t been properly cleaned, a Keurig that sprayed coffee, missing towel rack, a full outdoor trash bin upon arrival, and a gas grill heavily caked in grime.Despite these issues, the home met our needs, and we adapted to the quirks and enjoyed our week. A broken hot tub and dryer kept me tied to my phone longer than I would like and were not repaired during our visit. (This was not the fault of the handyman and hot tub repairman but of management for not taking action sooner when I contacted them upon arrival.)The layout of the house is confusing. The beds were uncomfortable for the middle aged and senior guests but the 18 yos slept great. It was clean and well appointed with dishes and linens and comfy couches. And the ACs worked great. Signage that the starters did not work and therefore both the stove and grill need to be lit manually would be helpful. The rooms are a bit odd and there are a few spaces where you have to walk through one bedroom to get to another - however, it fit our needs perfectly for our long weekend!! It’s a bit of a maze and takes some getting used to, but it’s a huge house and it is a LOT of fun. Lots of space to spread out, the beds were very comfortable, and the sauna and hot tub were awesome amenities. We couldn’t quite figure out the stereo in the house but not a problem there :) the house is well stocked with lots of dishes, pots and pans, and supplies; and we were provided with ample towels for everyone. We were very comfortable here and the location was perfect and central to everything - right off route 6, but quiet and private. Plenty of parking, and plenty of restrooms for everyone! There was at one point someone servicing the hot tub while we were there (which we wished we had been notified about) but that was truly our only complaint. It required an extra night than we needed but we decided to pay for it anyways. When we arrived the hot tub wasn’t working and we were told someone would come take a look at it. They never showed but we were told they had ordered a part and the next available person to fix it can’t come until we are gone. After looking at another review we saw that the hot tub was broken two months before our stay. It was very frustrating to be lied to about the situation. Plus, we had to flip breakers in order to get hot water in the house. The company was very good at getting back to you but never provided accurate information. I am giving three stars due to a number of issues I attribute to it being closed for winter and not adequately prepped for a winter weekend stay (despite it being booked 3-4 months ago). To start, none of the driveways or walkways were shoveled which made loading in and loading out treacherous with several slips and a fall. It also made taking the trash out around the house dangerous. The oven did not work properly - it never preheated fully - which made cooking all of our meals much longer and difficult than it had to be. Last but not least, the hot tub (the main feature of the house for us) was broken with parts strewn across the backyard. We understand this happens but walking into it with no mention of it prior was severely disappointing. Pros of the house: lots of bedrooms, two family rooms made for great relaxation spots, and a beautiful tub and sauna.
