"It was a quiet and relaxing stay. Everyone really enjoyed the week. The first evening we were there we were able to watch a dolphin swim close to the shore. Even charging the shore at times to push the fish that way. It was really neat to watch. The sunrises and moonrises were also great. We didn't see more than a few people on the beach. The last day we were there it looked like some other families arrived in the houses nearby, but I imagine it would still be pretty quiet even with them there. We will plan to come back and stay here again."

"Beautiful, old lodge in a wonderful family setting especially if you want to unplug. Excellent restaurant. It does lack some modern amenities such as in room TV. Internet service is limited although text, phone and email work. The bathroom was small with only a pedestal sink and slow draining tub/shower. The room itself was spacious and the beds comfortable. Definitely the best place to stay if you’re there to enjoy the spring. Highly recommend the boat tour of the river. "

"It was a cute little place for sure. And a nice little place to stay while we worked in Alligator Point over the weekend. The only complaint that I have is that we stayed in one of the single digit rooms and there was parking behind the building. Around 12:30 amsomeone pulled up with their car and left their lights on for a few minutes and it woke us up because the lights from the car came through the bathroom blinds and directly in our faces while we were in bed."
"House is very accommodating for a large group. The commercial appliances are extremely helpful in holding all the food. We also enjoyed the commercial stove and the ice maker. The design of the house gives everyone some privacy. "
