The best time to visit Vythiri is from October to March, when the weather is most pleasant and ideal for exploring.During these months, the monsoon season has ended, leaving the landscape lush and green, but without the heavy rainfall. Temperatures are comfortable, typically ranging from 20°C to 28°C, making it great for outdoor activities like trekking and sightseeing. This period avoids the intense heat and humidity of the summer months (April to May) and the heavy rains of the monsoon season (June to September).Couples looking for a romantic and tranquil getaway will find this period particularly appealing. The cooler, drier weather allows for enjoyable walks through the tea and coffee plantations, visits to waterfalls, and outdoor dining experiences without the discomfort of extreme weather. It's also an excellent time for those who appreciate nature and want to spend time outdoors, perhaps enjoying a boat ride on Pookode Lake or exploring the Edakkal Caves.Families travelling with children will also appreciate the mild weather, as it makes activities like wildlife spotting at the Muthanga Wildlife Sanctuary or visiting the Wayanad Wildlife Sanctuary more comfortable for everyone.
