Beautiful house Great location

My 4 kids(and a girlfriend), elderly mother, and I stayed at this property for a few days to celebrate my 50th birthday. We had a fantastic time!! Got time at the beach, went kayaking with the dolphins, visited the aquarium...and much more! Very clean & the kitchen is great. We would definitely stay here again.

Property is in an excellent location with plenty of room for guest. There was initially no hot water, then the repair person was contacted and fixed it in a reasonable amount of time. Not a major issue however the home requires a new paint job as there are many touch up spots throughout.

Property was very nice and clean. Adequate space for everyone. As a group of girls who stayed for a long weekend away, we really noticed the lack of mirrors in the house when we needed to get ready. I would suggest putting some cheap floor length mirrors on the inside of the closet doors. The property is right on 264 and sounds like a drag strip at night but that was disclosed in other reviews before booking so we were prepared for it.

We enjoyed our stay. The house was convenient to the beach and restaurants. At least one full-length mirror would have been nice to have.Unfortunately, the loud revving cars at night were very annoying. That seems to be a big problem in Virginia Beach.

Beach House

Overall the house was nice. Not far from the beach and boardwalk. We had a little trouble with one of the neighbors parking in our allotted spot. The only complaint I have is the noise level on the street. It’s a main road and the cars and motorcycles tend to rev their engines flying down the street. There is a naval base near and the jet’s flying across at all hours was also disturbing.

The property is nice the location is horrible. The traffic on 22nd Street is incredibly loud especially at 1 am in the morning. Cars constantly race up the street with their radios blaring. The tv's in the bedrooms do not work. The bedroom sizes are large and the beds are very comfortable. The air conditioning system keeps the house nice and cool even on the third floor.

Excellent host communication. Close walk to the beach. Adequate parking. Good amenities inside such as cooking utensils, coffee filters, etc. and overall enjoyed our visit. However, the road noise is unbelievable. Especially in the master bedroom near the laundry room on second floor. We saw others mention this so we brought sound machines to be prepared. But nothing could have prepared us for the level of noise in that bedroom. The other bedrooms were fine so we ended up moving to the twin bed room after night 1 and saw improvement luckily. My toddler and dog could not sleep in the master bedroom and we got 1-2 hours of sleep that first night. If you need all the bedrooms, beware whoever is in that master bedroom will not sleep well. There is also no full length mirror anywhere. But overall enjoyed our stay and would stay again if we didn’t need all the rooms.

We like these properties. It’s true the road noise from 22nd St. is persistent at night, but the properties are nice, clean and comfortable. We always have a good stay. 2 suggestions: (1) an extra blanket for each bedroom and (2) instructions about how to handle a car parked in your reserved spot. We arrived early evening in two cars and encountered a car parked in one of our spots. There was no other parking available, so I had to knock on a lot of doors with no luck. Eventually the person overheard me talking to another nearby resident and moved his car.

Beautiful Home!

We travel to Virginia Beach every Memorial Day weekend for a wrestling tournament that takes place at the Convention Center. This house was absolutely perfect for us. 3 families were able to comfortably fit in this house. It is 3 blocks from the beach and a 10 minute walk to the Convention Center. Everything is within walking distance -- once you park your car upon arrival, there's really no reason to get back in until it's time to leave! The house is absolutely beautiful -- every detail was covered. If any issue popped up, Sheppard was very quick to respond with the solution. The only thing that was missing was the bbq grill -- this was a bummer but certainly not a deal breaker! We are hoping to rent this same house next year and other families are hoping to rent the other side of the house as well! You will not be disappointed with one aspect of this house!

Great Location

The location was a great fit for us. 2 blocks from the beach and a short 2 minute drive to the convention center. We were 8 adults and 2 children and found the house roomy enough for all of us. The only negative about this pottery would be the kitchen supplies. Large bowls for serving, utensils for cooking, tongs etc.. Bigger garbage can for the kitchen. No grill! But we did purchase a small charcoal grill at Lowes that worked perfect. We had a great week and if ever in the area again for work/family I would look to rent again.
