Taking centre stage amongst our expanding galaxy of fabulous properties - a splendid 3 bedroom/3 bathroom apartment with furnished 'altana' roof terrace offering exceptional accommodation and a carefully considered mélange of the very best in Italian styling, hand-crafted furnishings, classic simplicity and luxury fittings, all very much at home within the unquestionable charm and convenience of its central yet tranquil upmarket location. Lovingly renovated under the watchful eye of an expert team, sleeping six and with an interior masterminded by highly respected Florentine architect and interior design company ‘ArchFlorence’ (experts with impeccable credentials, whose work graces some of Italy’s finest properties), the spacious air-conditioned apartment is on the 3rd and 4th floors and lies within the refined Venetian district of San Samuele, a central and genteel little oasis of art and antique galleries just off Campo Santo Stefano in the San Marco district of the city. Named after the nearby former San Samuele Theatre where Casanova’s mother performed as an actress and moments from where he was born to become one of Venice’s most celebrated sons, Ca' Del Teatro has a large and impressive open plan living space combining sitting, dining and kitchen areas and featuring subtle and sophisticated colours, chic upholstery, all the latest appliances plus a modern open-sided staircase leading to a superb clear glass-sided landing overlooking the area below. Magnificent weathered timbers given a rustic whitewash finish further emphasise the age, character and lofty proportions of the property while internet connection plus a washing machine allow for an eminently practical stay whatever the duration. Also on this level are two gorgeous bedrooms - one in complementary shades of mocha and mulberry with double bed and mirrored wardrobe, the other a twin in lime and bitter chocolate and both with roomy and sumptuously appointed bathrooms (one with shower, the other with shower and bathtub). Move on upstairs to a further plush bedroom, this time in violet and lavender shades and featuring a richly button-backed French-size bed, moroccan style mirroring and an en suite shower room with w.c. And to top it all beautifully, access to one of Ca’ Del Teatro’s stellar attractions - a super ‘altana’ roof terrace enjoying spectacular views towards the Palazzo Grassi Museum of Modern Art and perched up on high for surveying the scene. OUR COMMENT A class act and fantastically positioned... ...within steps of a grocery store, a wine shop and a range of cafes/osterie.....plus the gallery of interior designer Chiarastella Cattana - a discreetly sophisticated showroom of fine and distinctively woven textiles and furnishings and, for scent-lovers, the Venice outlet of the famous Florentine ‘Officina Profumo Farmaceutica di Santa Maria Novella’ – one of the oldest pharmacies in the world and one time fragrance maker to Catherine de’ Medici. Conveniently close to the vaporetto stops at San Samuele and Sant' Angelo for easy travel around the city, the 'Traghetto' gondola ferry which, during operating times, carries passengers by gondola across the Grand Canal between Calle Del Tragheto (near Sant’ Angelo) and San Toma in the district of San Polo. For arrivals between 8.00 p.m. and midnight there is an additional cost for "late arrival" of Euro 50, to be paid in cash upon arrival. We organize arrivals between midnight and one o'clock with an additional cost of Euro 100, after this time we reserve the right to accept the customer always with a supplement to be quantified according to the time of arrival. Beds will be arranged as either doubles or twins as shown in the photos. Très bel appartement, très bien situé. Un seul regret ... il a fallu se résoudre à partir! Mais comme à son habitude la Sérénissime distille ses incontournables attraits et nous invite inexorablement a toujours revenir. C'est sans aucun doute la Ca 'Del téatro avec ses confortables avantages et son quartier si calme et si vivant (quel paradoxe) qui, si les circonstances nous sont favorables, sera à nouveau notre lieu de résidence. I saw an email stating I only have 2 days left to review my stay at Views on Venice, Saint Marco. Well, despite being tired I had to make the time to give these guys the best review possible. Communication leading up to the booking was great, communication and assistance once there was amazing, I felt really taken care of, really “in control” and when you’re travelling to multiple locations in foreign countries, control is rarely felt. The apartment itself was by far the best accommodation we stayed in during our 3 week trip and we stayed in….. 8 different locations. The junior suite in Le Dokhan’s in Paris was close but this apartment was out of a storybook. There are however 3 flights of stairs to go up to get into it so either be fit, or be prepared to take your time getting up. The washing machine was also hard to figure out . This apartment was a perfect home base for our family of four. The location is great- a quiet neighborhood just minutes from the Accademia Bridge and the Grand Canal. We had the property manager arrange for a private water taxi from the airport, which was a memorable way to arrive. Check-in was easy and communication with the host both before and at arrival was prompt and helpful. The apartment is very comfortable, and the rooftop terrace with its beautiful view is the perfect place for a glass of wine after a day of exploring Venice. There's a good supermarket a short walk from the apartment with everything you might need. We had a fantastic visit and would definitely stay at Ca' Del Teatro Terrace again. ##### Alexandra R. We had a few travel-related issues getting into Venice, and Annalisa was so kind, patient and helpful! We were 3 couples traveling so we wanted a 3 bed/3 bath apartment and this was perfect. Not only was the apartment great but Marco, my contact, helped so much. We had a driver drop us in Venice and Marco set up private water taxis to get us to the apartment and then different taxis to get the couples to the airport and train station on our last day. He also helped with restaurant recommendations. When we arrived we were met by the loveliest girl that showed us the apartment, went over instructions and even had a map and helped us know where things were and recommended places to eat and go. The outside terrace was perfect for sitting in the evening drinking wine. This apartment is on the 3rd floor with no elevator and one of the 3 bedrooms is then up another set of stairs. This was not a problem for us but I'm not sure that was in the description. I can't say enough wonderful things about this apartment and the location. Don't sleep on this one, it's wonderful. ##### Pam W. We had an excellent stay in Views on Venice apartment in San Marco! The apartment was beautifully decorated and designed. We had plenty of room for our family of 6\. The location was perfect, close to the Rialto bridge without being in the busy part of Venice. The water bus is also very close to the apartment. The only down side is that the apartment is on the top floor of the building and has many steps to get there. But we didn’t mind at all. ##### Meiko B. Walking distance to many landmark locations. Very close to the water taxis. Grocery and restaurants were very close by; view ok, less than we expected but we didnt spend much time in. Family building, quiet. Bathrooms very nicely done. Would not let children use the rooftop patio, too open. Sofa and chairs showing their age.
