Second time staying here. Fantastic place to stay. The “Law & Order” room is great - view of the courthouse - tall ceilings, comfortable bed and sofa. Coffee and filtered water station in the hall. Easy parking, great coffee shop on the first floor. Downtown has several great restaurants right outside the door. Check-in is a code to get in the building and then your room. Staff is available via phone and pick up immediately. Stay here rather than the interstate chains.
The room was spotless! Decorated beautifully. The very large windows are so nice. We stayed in the Law and Order room which was a corner room and it was perfect. The hosts are amazing and attentive.
Best Place to stay in Valdosta - drive a few minutes off the interstate and get a much better experience than the chains. Clean, Spacious, Safe, Easy Check-in/Check-out, easy parking, great coffee shop on the first floor and nice restaurants within a few blocks in the quaint and historic downtown - STAY HERE!!
Great room, friendly cafe downstairs. Parking was a bit of an issue but eventually found something out front. Nice amentias and quiet room. Good view of the capital across the street.
The romantic suite is a beautifully designed, well maintained vintage room. We met the hotel manager, who was exuberant and helpful. The view from the room over the quaint downtown was picturesque. Location was good for walking downtown.
We stayed one night and found the room clean and spacious. I loved the charm of the old building, even though the walls were a bit thin. The sound machine worked wonderfully, and I slept without any issues. I only wish we could have stayed longer. We would definitely stay here again if given the opportunity.

This is my second time staying at the McKey in Valdosta. This hotel is so much better than the chain hotels available here. We walked to a restaurant and to a brewery from the hotel, and the room is big enough that we were able to play board games. Thank you for a lovely stay!
You come here to experience the town! Restored/repurposed bulding turned into a lovely hotel in the "main strett" district of town allow you to walk to restaurants and enjoy the happenings in town. Very spacious, confortable and clean rooms. Rooms are not numbered but named, add a desrving touch of B&B to the stay. Worth the detour off the interstate to slow down and relax!
Beautiful place with a charming historic feel. You get a key code emailed to you for entry so it’s very private and simple to check in.
It is a wonderful place overall with a coffee shop downstairs that is also wonderful! Güd Coffee!
The only downside was the noise of being in the heart of downtown. You could hear everything on the street and vehicles going by all night. I’m a light sleeper so maybe others wouldn’t mind as much. They do have ear plugs complimentary!! :) definitely a place you should check out!
The room was very clean and modern. The bed was big and comfortable. It took a bit to get used to not having a front desk person and that is the only review that got 3 stars because there was no interaction with any staff. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again.
The area suggested to park had people that approached me 3 times asking for money. The directions given didn't explain where the room was. Being downtown, police sirens and trains kept me up most of the night. The positive is being downtown and walking to restaurants and the room was immaculate.
I and another quest didn't realize the rooms were names and not numbers. Had to request entrance instructions. The bed was very comfortable and towels were top quality but the toilet paper was super thin... No place to hang clothes. Very irritated having cups, coffee and fridge in the hall... Not as quiet as typical hotel... Definitely not worth the money for a self service hotel...
