Great Location, Comfortable Condo
Vantage Point is a great location for those wishing to ski. It is an easy walk (circa 5 minutes) to the gondola and the bus system into Vail Village is easy to use. Vail 21 Sports is located across the parking lot (between the condo and gondola), making it the perfect place to rent and store skis if needed.
The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with a variety of pans and dishes. The only complaint is that the hot water tank for a condo meant to house four people was quite small. Maintenance quickly responded and turned up the temperature after we had two instances of cold showers, but you definitely couldn't get four showers on a tank the size of what is in the condo.
Otherwise, the condo was the perfect retreat after a fun day on the slopes.

The vantage point was great. The location was amazing just steps from the gondola. You are at the lionshead free bus stop. They change the towels daily and take out the garbage. They unit itself is a little dated but everything was clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay here again.

Vantage Point is in a great location. The view from our patio was beautiful. We had everything we needed to cook a meal in the kitchen. My only complaint is that the check in process was not a little easier. We had to go to a property a few hotels away to check in.

We told housekeeping not to come two different times but once we left they still came in which was kind of strange considering they placed all our bags on the floor. The room was nice, could have done without the personal pictures of kids in the room and also a very noisey location. But all in all a decent stay
Great location right at Vail entrance—however, very outdated, unclean condo in poor condition.

Good but under renovation
Our stay at the Vantage Point in Vail was good. The building is undergoing massive renovations so it felt as if we were staying in a construction zone. That being said, check in was easy, the maintenance department was very quick to respond to a broken door lock and there was daily cleaning.

Buena ubicación. Buen Internet. Cocina Bien Equipada. Asador Muy Bueno. Camas bien Vestidas. Buena Iluminación.
Colchones viejos o muy deformados. Alfombra vieja.
We had trouble checking in at first but the front desk went way beyond expectation in order to take care of us. The property was much closer to the lifts and village amenities than I expected. The room was spacious with great views and ample seating for an entire group. Free on site parking was great.

Location, location!
We stayed in a 2 bedroom condo on the 3rd floor. Amazing view of ski slopes from the living room and the huge balcony. This was a luxury condo with a few minor issues. The living, kitchen, dining areas were perfect. The furniture on balcony could use a good cleaning, which is to be expected after the winter weather. Everything was very clean. My only real issue was the bed was not comfortable at all. We loved being in the area of Lionshead, a bit more laid back than Vail and great restaurants and shopping a 2 block walk, at most. I highly recommend this property, even with the bed issue.
The Vantage Point condo that we stayed in was not a nice place. I am not picky, my wife is, and even when I walked in I was reminded of a place that I would have lived when I was in college. It was clean, but not updated in 30 plus years. That is fine and a matter of perception so I can't knock it down for that, but what was really disappointing was the creaking and cracking all night and the quality of the pull out bed can not qualify as a bed. I woke up at midnight and my wife was in the kitchen looking for another place to stay. There were three adults in the unit and none of us slept more than half the night. It may just have been the unit that we got, 106, but it was not suitable for a family in my opinion. The pool was closed for the winter which was not specified, or I didn't see, when we booked and which is necessary with small kids. Back in the day this unit would have been fine for skiing, getting hammered, and then crashing, but those days are long gone and the unit is not for a family vacation with kids. The management company was great, we called in the morning, offered to pay for an upgrade, and they put us in a different property all together, the Landmark, that was brand new and incredibly nice. This specific unit did not work for us, but the management company was awesome and by far went above and beyond to help us out.

Vail Vantage Point
As many have said, Vantage Point is old and dated. While the rest of Vail has seen a renaissance, many buildings around Lionshead including Vantage Point have lagged far behind. Building is old, dated, tired, and it shows.
On the other hand, you get what you pay for and this is certainly a cheaper option than the newer Vail properties.
The unit was 'ok'. Nothing fancy, just the essentials.
That said, it worked for us.
