"We visited Reedville for the holiday weekend with my family and another family. The adult children enjoyed the privacy of the guest house while the rest of us stayed comfortablly in the main house. The views were amazing, and we took advantage of all that the grounds had to offer. Additional kayaks and perhaps some bicycles would be appreciated. There were very bright spotlights shining right outside of the master bedroom that made sleeping challenging, but the owner said they should be fixed...

"Our Texas family loved our stay at Hays Beach hideaway! The house was perfect and had everything we could possibly need. Just a short walk (60 seconds) to the beach and we were crabbing and enjoying the most beautiful sunrises I’ve ever seen! Owner was very responsive and offered information about the area. Family enjoyed the bicycles, yard games, beach supplies, crab equipment, kayaks, and very comfortable beds. Home was very nicely decorated inside and out and clean and comfortable. A most enjoyable stay we will be back! "

"We LOVED our stay and it was so relaxing. We traveled with an infant (5 months) and it went great. The Jacobs were so generous and offered us an early day check-in and late check-out free of charge. The sunrises were EXTRAORDINARY and the property is fully stacked with anything you need but might forget. Ex: we forgot our bug spray and found one on the property! The property is clean, kitchen fully functional and well stocked with cooking/serving wear. Freezer has an ice maker and that was great. Notes for future travelers:- The property is small, think trailer house. So if you have tall/large travelers, this might not be the place for you. My husband managed to be okay, but was not able to be in certain parts of the property."

"Property was amazing. My oldest took advatage of having his own place with the separate house. Everything you needed was there, just bring your food. Kitchen had everything needed, the "smoke shack" was great, rather you were smoking or grilling food or cooking up breakfast on the blackstone! Two kayaks and one inflatable were awesome to have! Firepit (just bring somenwood) and grabpots provided were a plus. Decor of the home was great and very private area plus having your own little beach area to enjoy. Really enjoyed the stay and would book again! Host was excellent to communicate with!"

"This place was perfect for our family vacation. It was so secluded! The views were amazing, the pool was perfect, and the house was clean and exactly as described. Lori was so sweet and was available for any questions! There are tons of games and outside things to do and we caught plenty of fish and crabs off the dock. The one day that was rainy we took a little trip to the compass complex to do a ropes course, arcade and wall climbing with the kids. There is also a movie theater there with deals on Tuesdays. I don’t recommend the restaurant there as the food was just ok. "

"The managers of this property are good people who care about their customer's experience. I was met with friendliness and good tips on where to eat dinner. My room was clean and the view over the marsh was spectacular. I could kayak right next door and I even got to watch fireworks on the 4th of July from my balcony. A great trip! Highly recommended.
