Erick and the rest of the stuff were super! My party and I simply adored the place. Hopefully next time we can stay longer. I highly recommend this place in Tulum even if it’s for one night.

If you’re looking for an affordable, beautiful stay on the beach in a place where the Tulum culture is more preserved, then Nueva Vida is the place to go. It’s very convenient as it’s within walking distance of all the restaurants and night life. They accommodate you well and we felt very safe during our stay there. Booking a room with AC was a must for us, but it only comes on around 8 or 9pm and ends at 8am so if you plan on staying in during the day, it can get pretty hot in your room. Overall I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a great stay in Tulum and we will be returning!

Really lovely property. Even though I know they were sold out I hardly saw anyone else around the resort. The privacy and setting is excellent. The balcony / deck was literally on the beach and 20 Ft to the ocean. Listening to the waves all night was special. Most staff were excellent with the exception of one interaction which I will refrain from writing about except to say it was an exception, albeit disappointing. The staff are excellent. Breakfast across the road is fine. A word of caution about Tulum in general. If eating in the main hotel zone be prepared to spend a lot. Prices for a 3 course meal is easily > $90 per person.. keep this in mind when budgeting. Not anything to do with this lovely hotel. Overall I loved this hotel and will return in the next 12 months.

We loved our stay here. Felt completely safe on hotel grounds and while there was a certain rusticness to be expected from huts without completely closed walls, we didn't have issues with bugs and the property was remarkably clean. Would absolutely stay here again it was amazing for the price and unbeatable location right on the beach.

Beautiful cabanas right on the beach towards the far end of the zona hoteleria. This is a quiet, family friendly eco resort that makes a perfect home base for adventures around the Riviera Maya. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious, as well as a fraction of the cost of similar rooms nearby. This is NOT a party hotel, look elsewhere for that. Free delicious breakfast right across the street and they will even deliver lunch to the beach for you! Ocean is clean and safe to swim in and there is a beautiful pool. Be aware that the shower and sinks are filtered saltwater only but fresh drinking water is provided. Can't recommend enough. Thank you Nueva Vida for your hospitality!

Really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was very calm, only thing was that our room didn’t have ac yet some other rooms did, it was on my part that I didn’t check as I was booking, but overall had a great stay. The front staff was very helpful and gave lots of suggestions, hotel does have security all night that stay at the main entrance. Would definitely stay again.

We had a great week at Nueva Vida de Ramiro. The hotel is located in a more peaceful part of Tulum beach, with easy access to plenty of good restaurants. The premises have an exotic "jungly" vibe, with sandy pathways winding through lush tropical foliage. We stayed in room 24 --- The Extasis Corazon suite --- which is spacious and pleasant with a large deck overlooking the sea through palms. We felt total privacy and perfectly safe. We awoke each morning to the view of sunrise over the sea, and fell asleep at night to the sounds of waves crashing on the beach and palm trees swaying in the breeze. The gorgeous miles-long beach was a few steps from our room, and we never needed shoes while at the hotel. The beach has double sunbeds with cabanas that kept us cozy and cool. (Some seaweed was depositing on the beach toward the end of our stay, but this did not significantly diminish the special beauty of the place, nor can this be blamed on the hotel.) Breakfast is provided at the cozy Tamarindos restaurant across the street. We tasted almost everything on the menu for a small extra cost, and found the fare to be tasty and thoughtfully prepared, with excellent service. We felt very relaxed and well taken care of at Nueva Vida in Tulum. The staff were kind, helpful, friendly, and accommodating. We highly recommend this hotel as an outstanding and romantic place to spend a holiday.

This is a rustic well kept property on the beach in a great area of Tulum. There is no restaurant or bar but we had access to one across the street. The breakfast is served across the street, it’s basic, but adequate. The top units have palapa roofs, so they have open eaves. The staff were very good and attended to any little problems promptly. Comfy bed, hot shower, good WiFi, but not much space to put your clothes away. We would stay again.

One of the last properties in Tulum with beautiful palapas on the ocean. Each one had views of the ocean, large bathrooms, electricity for charging devises, good wifi, and beautiful beaches with sunbeds and sunshades. The staff took great care of us and the free breakfast was an added bonus. We loved our stay.

Peaceful and relaxing white sand beach
We enjoyed staying in the horizonte perdido suite which is a second level unit located on the beach. We had neighbors below but could not hear anything. It’s a rustic room with the charm we expected. I highly recommend the palapa style rooms on the beach where you can listen to the waves and watch people go by. There is no AC in the unit but there are fans which was sufficient for our stay in the low 80’s. The beach was gorgeous and no seaweed. There were always available daybeds on the sand to layout. The pool area was a bit lacking in my opinion and the ambience of the deck and water appeared in need of cleaning and maintenance. The front desk was always welcoming and appeared to take notice for security. The included breakfast is located across the street in a restaurant. It’s basic but we found it sufficient to start our day. You can upgrade your meal choices for 100-200 pesos. We were on foot our whole trip as there were plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance. Overall we felt it was a great location and value for the area and are likely to return.

The weather was fantastic for most of our stay. However, the last night was challenging due to strong winds. I can't give it a 5-star rating for comfort because throughout the night, something outside the cabin kept banging against the wall, leading to a restless night with considerable noise. Despite this, the location is excellent, and the amenities are perfect.

I think eco has become as excuse for not having basic amenities lol. The water didn’t work in the morning when i woke for a shower, the Marianne man did come quickly but because there’s no phones i had to get dressed and walk to the front to get someone first. The water is like a dribble lol. Breakfast was included however nowhere did it mention the restaurant was up the street lol. The restaurant across the street is expensive AF be warned. I will say the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. The room did have a kitchenette which i always like and a hammock on the patio. I wouldn’t stay there again though, I’d rather pay double to stay at Alaya or somewhere more central. Because a can to go 5 minutes up the street is $35 lol.

This was the perfect place to stay in Tulum. It was about a 5 min walk to the bigger restaurants but that was just far enough to make the location feel more secluded and the beach more Private. The staff was great and very accommodating. Our room wasn’t directly on the beach which was nice gave our balcony some privacy but it was just literal steps from the beach which was also very convenient. A must stay if you go to Tulum!!

Amazing little hotel!
My partner and I booked a last minute night in tulum. First of all the room was beautiful for the price. Right on the ocean. Quiet considering the area can be very loud at night. The hotel reception was incredible my helpful and kind as soon as we walked in the door. We had accidentally parked at the wrong parking space which we had to pay for. The hotel staff moved our car and got our money back. Free breakfast across the street was a bonus.

The property was missing basic amenities like air conditioning, drinkable water, curtains on the washroom windows, adequate charging ports etc. The breakfast place was unhygienic. I found a hair from the pan cake in the breakfast place called Tamarindo.

An apology for the inconvenience during your stay with us, our hotel is a rustic hotel in old Tulum, in the descriptions of your room it mentions what the room you reserve has. We have rooms with AC and the amenities you mention but the room you chose is a classic bungalow, not a suite.

Our bungalow was nice, clean and spacious with a great ocean view. The bathroom sink drain was broken, water did not drain properly. One of the inside wooden chairs back legs buckled when attempting to sit on it. We reported it to management it was never fixed. The pool was dirty with debris from leaves, sticks and dirt. The included breakfast during our stay offered juice or fruit, coffee, eggs, potato’s and toast, two of the three days we ate there we were told they did not have juice, we were given one slice of toast for two people. We tipped our server every morning we ate there. On our last morning we opted to eat at La Zebra and fore go Nueva Vida de Ramiro’s included breakfast. As I was checking out I could not find anyone in the reception area, so I sat at the reception desk and noticed smoke coming out from the restroom next to the front desk the odor was horrible. I got up, walked to the entrance of Nueva Vida de Ramiro, when I noticed the manager standing out side by the street entrance. I asked if he could send someone to bring my suit case down from our bungalow, he replied yes and informed me that the grounds are being fumigating thats why he is standing out front away from the smell. It would have been nice if a notification was posted about the fumigation so that customers would have known and not had to inhale the toxic chemicals. We have stayed at Nueva Vida de Ramiro before and the customer service back then was excellent, sadly not so good this time.

It’s surrounded by other high end properties and yet this place is charming, quaint and lovely with fabulous care by the ALL of the staff. Esteban is goes above and beyond. We were in room 6. Lots of charm! Practically speaking, if you have knee or hip problems the stairs to the second floor rooms could be challenging though there are handrails. Low lighting also can be a challenge and while there are a couple hooks there are no hangers or places to hang clothes. Kitchen is decently stocked with small fridge, large water tank, plates and cooking gear though we didn’t need them. Nice view of the pool and ocean yet set back a bit with a jungle feel and privacy. The location of the property is perfect and parking your car is safe. Breakfast was enough to get us through the day. With many many choices all along the beach and some we’d like to stay at, we would return here.
