"I started off in a tiny uncomfortable room like a boom closet with single bed even though I booked and paid for a non-smoking room with double bed many weeks in advance. Lights were dim or 'only for show'. I had to use my friend's bathroom because no hot water in mine. On the second of our 3 days I very firmly requested a better room and was allocated one. It was necessary to drag my heavy bag up and down stairs.
The hotel is located on a very busy road junction with heavy vehicles...

"If you like antique collections, they got some exotic items. The front office people are very nice, courteous, and very engaging. The restaurant upstairs is decent. I didn't want to step out for dinner after a hectic sightseeing day and the upstairs restaurant came to the rescue. I will say you will get more bang for the buck. "

"Run down hotel. Furniture really old in the room and bathroom fixtures really old. Somewhat clean. Otherwise adequate. Located within a fifteen minute walk from the fateh sagar lake area if you wanted to head out there for street food after a day of sight seeing. All other sights, need to take a cab or something into the old city, easy enough to do."
