Book now Nestled in a box canyon surrounded by the 14,000 foot plus peaks of the Majestic San Juan Mountains of Colorado. This historical, victorian town of Telluride is rich in history of the gold rush days, and still evokes the feel of the wild west. This incredible place is heaven for the outdoor enthusiast with its world class skiing and snowboarding during the winter and its vast selection of outdoor challenges such as hiking, rafting,horseback riding, fly fishing, and kayaking during the summer months. If these sports do not excite you than perhaps the boutique shopping, gourmet restaurants, and the foray of festivals (on most weekends during the warmer months) might entice you to this most enchanting place. The more popular festivals that Telluride is most known for are The Telluride Film, The Blue Grass and The Blues and Brews Festivals. Telluride is a walking friendly town and everything is only a few minutes away, or you can catch the free 'Galloping Goose' shuttle that stops right across the street from the condo. This 3 bedroom 2.5 bath condo has been completely remodeled right down to the studs in Spring of 2005 and offers all the finest finishes and features. The property is spacious with high ceilings and over 1500 square feet of living area. In-floor radiant Heat, distressed hardwood floors, floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace and a luxurious steam shower, are just a few of the fine features Telluride # 521 has to offer. The three separate entrances gives you the impression that you are in a home rather than a condo. The main entrance is thru a heated hallway. The other two entrances give you quick access to THE SLOPES/OUTDOOR BBQ via the large outside deck or the mud room which has a KEYLESS ENTRY. You can also enjoy a slopeside, mountain view from the comfort of your down filled leather sofa and chairs. Telluride Lodge #521 offers you the feel of being in your own private home in the mountains yet having the convenience and access to many ammenites. Lift 7 is 150 paces outside your door, along with ski/equipment rentals right next to the lift. Clark's Grocery is approx. 100 ft away. A Free Shuttle ' Galloping Goose' stops right across the street. It is in the most prime, central location in the town of Telluride and also one of the most luxurious and spacious townhomes in Telluride. We know you will enjoy this comfortable home so much that you will want to return again and again. LIVING ROOM: This room has floor-to-ceiling windows giving you unbelievable views of the mountains and slopes from the kitchen and living area. The furnishings and art have been all hand picked and collected from various artisans and craftsmen from around the country and lend a western, rustic feel. The over-sized down filled leather sofa and chair will offer you a cozy place to snuggle up to the fire and rest after a fun day in the mountains. The fully stocked kitchen - spices, utensils, condiments, and more - made the initial grocery trip easier and cheaper! Walk to the ski shop and lift just across the street! Walk into town for great food. Walk to the grocery store without even having to go out in the cold! No car needed for sure. Kids were happy with the sleeping arrangements. There were 4 adults & 2 teenagers in this group for a 9 night holiday ski trip. We were every pleased at how well the pantry is stocked. DO NOT go shopping for spices and condiments until you check to see what they have on hand. Most condos don't have any spices, condiments just a hotel setup. But we were able to add to the existing inventory by leaving what we didn't use. This one was so refreshingly different. Exactly what I expect when booking a short term rental over a hotel.It is very nice to have a washer / dryer on hand to do laundry. Be mindful that drying clothes does take longer at altitude.Bedrooms were adequate, yet dark. One of the teenagers slept in the little cubby on the first floor because, well teenagers don't like sharing rooms. Plenty of hot water for showers each day.We had to stage getting reading on the 1st floor with ski boots, helmets, goggles, coats etc.I have a preference to hanging my clothes instead of placing all of them in drawers. The hanging space is limited and there aren't many hangers. This is a on going thing for me. I have yet to rent a STR with amble hanging space and/or hangers. I do bring my own hangers, but a closet would be nice. The Goose stops right across from the parking lot and is super easy to use. We tended to walk into town as it is a nice easy stroll.Fireplace in the living room adds so much atmosphere and heats up the area very well.Host is great. Steps from the ski lift and the grocery store. The house had all the necessities and was very comfortable. We would not change a thing. ##### John B. It was a very short walk to get on lift 7 each morning, and it was easy to get back home each afternoon. The kitchen had everything we needed. Plenty of bathrooms for 6 people. Beds were very comfortable. Very convenient for walks to dinner too. We had initially planned to stay in Mountain Village, and we were so glad to be in town instead. Short walk to chair 7 that gets you up the ski mountain. 10 minute walk to town. Close to grocery store. Owners very communicative. Before / during visit. Clean when we got there. Quiet. Lots of good cooking utensils / pots / pans etc. very short walk to sauna and steam. Which we used almost every day. We would def stay in this condo again. ##### Cindy H. And the owners could not have been nicer or more accommodating. Plus, you can't beat the location. Would definitely recommend! ##### Stephanie C. The owners are very responsive and kind. They take great pride in their beautiful home. However, We struggled with the master bedroom shower from beginning to end. There was NO hot water for the first two days. Once the property manager adjusted the boiler temp up to a normal hot temp, it was better but never stayed hot in the master shower. Hopefully the owners can take a look a this issue so this house can be perfect! ##### Marla W.
