  • Central Florida home that is a great jumping off point for a multitude of land and water activities. This single story (no steps) pool home is located on a canal that leads to the Dora Chain of Lakes and Lake Apopka. The Dora Chain is known for great fishing, all watersports, and waterfront dining. There is a covered boat dock available for guests, and a public boat ramp is about a mile from the house. Across the canal is undeveloped land which makes for great bird watching from the property, as well as being located near two spots on the Florida Birding Trail. There are 2 public golf courses nearby for golf enthusiasts. The historic town of Mount Dora with fabulous restaurants and shopping is 15 minutes away. Explore beautiful natural springs 20-30 minutes away. For those who may be interested in theme parks, Disney World is 45 minutes away. The Lake Apopka wildlife drive/trail is just 10 minutes away. Long & Scott Farm is just 5 minutes away and is open seasonally for agritourism. Kayaks (3) and bicycles (2) are included with the rental. Bring your boat or rent one from a rental company on the Chain of Lakes!

We were there for a month and cooked a lot of meals. The kitchen was very well stocked, not only with kitchen wares, but with staples such as coffee, bottled water, "tupperware", ziplock bags, paper plates and ample supplies of paper goods.

Once again we loved our stay at this wonderful home. The foliage around the pool feels like you are at a resort. So many different places to sit outside on the property.Liz and Dale are spectacular hosts!

We had a truly great stay. Liz was fantastic & easily reachable! We stayed here for our daughter's wedding - convenient to the Venue & town of anything was needed. Clean, comfy & able to have our pups..perfect!

Beautiful home with every amenity needed plus more! The home is in a nice neighborhood with friendly neighbors. Liz was great with any request we had. Look forward to returning for a longer stay.

Everything was perfect! The house was roomy and open. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. The host was quick to respond with any questions or issues we had. The pool was very nice. The boat dock had a roof which made it nice when it rained. The boat stayed dry! Having the lights on the boat dock was pretty nice too. We had dinner a few times at Mary’s kitchen located 5 minutes away. Great homestyle food! The Beauclair over in Dora was amazing! The salted fry in Dora was gluten free and delicious! We hope to come back and stay again! This house has been our favorite so far out of all the places we’ve stayed.

Awesome Vacation Spot!

We stayed at the house for a week and it was an awesome spot! No complaints on our end the house and property was very clean! Lots of wildlife around with the house being right on a canal! Liz was a great host who always responded to my messages and was very kind and respectful! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to stay in the area!

Girls trip

We had a wonderful experience! House was I. A perfect location for us. Pool, dock and canal were great. My friends fished from the dock. Very comfortable stay, we cooked a great meal on Sunday and had everything we needed to cook. I highly recommend this unit.
