« Overall the property was agreeable and we enjoyed our stay. The downsides were: limited toilet paper (perhaps a small issue but 3 rolls for a week is stingy - are we expected to provide our own?), there were no replacement rubbish bags for the rubbish and compost receptacles (again are we expected to provide our own?), the A/C is only in the main lounge/dining/kitchen room so the bedrooms with the queen beds were hot. The tower fan provided was completely inadequate it would struggle to blow out...

« The whole holiday was a wonderful experience. I wish it could have been longer, but we are already planning to return. The house was an ideal holiday home for us both and our pet dog who enjoyed the yard and the dog beach not far away. Evans Head itself is a very relaxing destination, with the beach, the bowlo, and areas nearby that we explored. The whole process of check-in/check out were simple and uncomplicated. « We loved staying at Stephen’s farm. Stephen and his family were very welcoming and accommodating. Our children really loved it and we all enjoyed every moment. We enjoyed seeing all of the animals.The baby lambs and goats were so cute. The accommodation was very clean and had everything we needed. It was one of our best holidays! « I was looking for a cute home to stay in for the week to use as our home base to come back to from our little day trips and it was perfect! The Old Shop was minimalist and clean and you could tell a lot of thought and love went into every detail of creating this little home. Courtney was a great host and happy to help us with anything we needed, responding to messages so quickly. I will defs be back to experience the Old Shop in winter! »

« Appliances inside the property need to be updated for example dishwasher door didn’t close, bbq is rusty would not cook my food on it, Hot plates did not get very hot and oven didn’t heat up at all and no regular drinking glasses if these were fixed or replaced would recommend this property to family and friends. A clothes dryer would of been nice to dry linen and towels for when it rains. »

« Very comfortable and clean house with amazing views x Lots of room for a large family with seperate upstairs and downstairs spaces for different age groups. We thoroughly enjoyed our week with plenty of local walks and drives to nearby beaches. The local RSL and Hotel Illawong were great for evening meals and free bbq’s at the lookout were in very close proximity to the house. Will definately stay again x »

« My son and I stayed for one night as he was attending the North Coast PSSA Athletics Trials that was being held in Lismore. Our room was very satisfactory for a night.
