It is compact and uniquely designed with a sense of aesthetic and elegance. It has all the essentials and offers exceptional views of the mountains of Acadia National Park. The cottage is just a 8 to 10 - minute walk down to Morgan Bay, very close to hiking trails, biking and swimming. Acadia National Park is about 45 minutes away. It is located on the same property as Surry Arts. Please visit our website (surryartsandevents) as we offer a dynamic and diverse performing arts season from June - October. Few rental spaces offer all of this in a ten-minute radius. The cottage offers a kitchenette with a microwave and mini refrigerator. A queen-sized bed with soft jersey cotton linens will make your stay comfortable. Pets: Dogs and cats are welcome, but you must contact me in advance so we can discuss details. Upon approval, there is an additional cleaning fee of $50 for the one pet or $80 for two pets. The fee for the first pet is included in your VRBO total. If bringing more than one pet, the additional pet fee is payable in cash at checkout. Stays longer than 7 days will need to discuss possible additional pet cleaning fees with the host. Please note that many animals live near the property and frequently walk through it (such as deer, wild turkeys, neighbors' cats, etc.) A porcupine lives under one of the barns, so we recommend keeping dogs on a leash when outside to avoid injury. Late arrivals after 9:00 PM are subject to a late fee of $25.00. Additional guests: For more than 2 guests, there is an additional fee of $25 per guest per night. It was great. There was enough space for our stuff and for us to relax and sleep comfortably. The bed sleeps 2 and there’s an air mattress for the third person. The cabin itself is nice, and the view is beautiful too. My husband really enjoyed how close it is to water and it gave him and Bailey (dog) some nice walks. This isn’t a place for partying but it’s awesome for relaxing. The open concept cabin looked recently renovated yet artfully retained just enough natural charm with beadboard ceiling, salvaged wood posts and gleaming pine plank floors. Kitchenette and bath were fitted with modern fixtures. Plenty of hot water for showers, and mini split heat pump HVAC kept us comfy in the overnight chill. Everything was sparkling clean and fresh and there was wonderful light and nature views from several windows. A 5 minute walk down the road took us to a public trail skirting some of Morgan Bay with lovely views. Added bonus—Alan gave us a quick yet intriguing tour of “The Barn” music venue. Everything was seamless and smooth. It was a beautiful property and a wonderfully newly renovated cabin that had everything we could need. It had A/C to help cool us off in the heat of the day, but also lots of windows for the cooler nights. It was extremely clean and super cozy. Stepping outside at night, the sky was stunning and breathtaking! So many stars!! I highly recommend this beautiful and serene piece of heaven for anyone traveling to Acadia National Park, it’s very conveniently located! ##### Amanda K. We had a great 2 nights in this cottage the place felt very peaceful and cozy. We had our 2 dogs and everyone enjoyed the stay. Overall the place was exactly as described and the owner Alan was very helpful. The bathroom was a lil dirty (some hair in the shower and floor) but we came prepared so not too big of a deal. The wifi wasnt perfect (maybe a lil far) but allowed us to use for what we needed. I definitely recommend and will be back in the future. ##### Vinny B.
