There is a narrow gravel drive up to the property so Parking was in the village square which was a short walk around the outside of the pub, so not recommended for disabled as there is also steps up to the entrance door. "We have stayed at Astor house before so we came back to the same apartment. They had upgraded the sofas to recliners which was a nice surprise. The apartment itself is easy to get to clean and Torquay town centre is a short walk away. It has a great view over the beach side of Torquay and the area is quiet. The place is clean and well maintained and the host kindly provided some biscuits and milk. I would highly recommend this place."

"The hotel overall was good. Me and my wife was here for a short stay. The staff was very friendly, breakfast was lovely. We had to check out early as my wife had work to do and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing I'd say could be improved here is that they can have AC put in at the hotel because it does get hot inside during hot weather"

"We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The staff were lovely, friendly, helpful and welcoming. The room was clean with an on-suite bathroom with toilet, sink, and combination bath and shower. We ate breakfast and dinner during our stay and the food was good with a full English, toast, cereal, yogurt and fruit for breakfast and salad or soup for starters 2 meat options and a fish option for main and a selection of cakes for pudding for dinner. Breakfast wasn’t greasy and dinner was like a home cooked meal, not fussy but tasty. Overall we had a great time. Parking is on the road but we always found a space. The hotel offered evening entertainment of a singer each night from 8-10pm with an open bar which was nice to sit and listen to before going to bed. You could not hear the singer from your bedroom so you were not disturbed if you chose not to attend."
