"This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. Our room was beautiful and having air conditioning was fantastic!
We did book a room that was supposed to have a bidet, which it did not. We also had a room with a deep soaking tub, which is what we wanted since we were on our honeymoon. However, the drain stopper for the tub did not work so we had to "MacGyver" something in order to have the tub hold water. The water pressure in the tub was also not great, so between that and the water slowly draining out, it took about an hour to fill up the tub. By the time it was ready to use we were frustrated and it was late - put a pretty big damper on our night."
"We spent one night here and got a large double twin — spacious and spotless. The staff were the highlight: we asked for extra pillows and a fan, and someone sorted it quickly without any fuss. Parking was easy, and the food had real care behind it — nothing overdone, just done properly. The whole place carries itself with a quiet sophistication rather than anything showy. Would happily stay again."
"It is an old hotel with a lot of character, the bar is amazing. The room I had was basic and needs a refresh but they are clean and comfortable. Parking is a nightmare, make sure you confirm the car park location in advance."
"Excellent hotel with very comfortable rooms, fair pricing and friendly, professional staff. The only downside is the location is on a hill so some may find the walk there and back into the city difficult."
"Friendly staff, good breakfast (white pudding lacked taste), has a pool so remember swim wear! Plenty of parking and within walking distance of the distillery."
