Ideal wedding suite
This suite was perfect for both the groom’s wedding suite as well as the wedding night. Spacious enough for everyone yet intimate enough to feel private. LOVED it!

Great experience!
We loved bringing our 3 grandsons to stay overnight in the 100 Acre Woods room. This lodge offered a unique experience with the different themes in each room and all of the fireplaces throughout the lodge. The meals are amazing and the staff were so attentive. We loved our time here and will be returning again soon!

Great property when you want to escape
We really enjoyed our time at the lodge and the Hundred Acre Wood room is amazing. Watched the sun rise from the deck, very relaxing weekend. One thing to note; don't fool yourself like I did, the trundle room is for kids, larger adults will struggle to get up and down the stairs.

Wedding at Lydia Mountain
This was quite a unique hotel. Each room has it's own theme. We had several people staying in different rooms, so got to check them all out and they were all awesome. In our particular room, there was a loft area which our adult daughter stayed in. It was definitely made for a child, but we laughed and made it work. We ate at the restaurant a couple of times and the food was great and waitresses (Katie and KK) were as nice as could be. The only downfall was the balcony area looked like it had not been clean in a while and since I enjoyed sitting out there, I had to give it good cleaning. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Lydia lodge ❤️
Last year I came to Bear Appettite for a brunch and honestly I didnt know the lodge name until I got the location and I was so happy how life works sometimes. I spend a good weekend and even saw fireworks. I would even come back. You guys manage to give me another room last minute with all you got. I appreciate the stay and the good staff. Suggestion to have utensils in every room too. Also Ice maker is not the best ice gets good for ice cones.
Lastly bahtroom lamp needs to be clean. King bed was amazing.
This was our first time staying at Lydia Mountain Lodge. I chose this particular place due to convenient location (10 minutes from Skyline Drive) and unforgettable views! The room’s interior was decorated in a wooden authentic way. Furniture, lamps.. everything looked very cool. King size bed was a plus, even though the softness of the mattress was on the firmer side for me, but frankly this is very individual. The views from the balcony were breathtaking.
The Lodge had a restaurant with outside decks, but honestly we felt in our place so comfortable, that we ended up getting the dinner “to go” and enjoyed it in front of the fireplace in the living room.
There is a small loft room upstairs for kids, in case you’re staying with children. Nicely decorated and looked very charming.
Overall, me and my girlfriend liked “Hundred Acre Woods” a lot. We would definitely consider to come back.

Thank you!!
Good evening!
I would like to thank Tina and Tiffany for being such kind and helpful hosts the evening and morning we stayed. We LOVED the room. It was furnished so beautifully and was so comfortable in many ways. The furniture in the sitting room was quite comfortable and the KING bed was AMAZING! Actually, we were wondering if you would share what kind of mattress it is! The view from the balcony was gorgeous, as I enjoyed watching the sunrise. {The only negative thing I would say was that I kept getting a headache when using the gas fireplace. I was able to smell a faint gas odor the morning we left as I entered the sitting room. We are thinking that maybe the fireplace gas just needs to be adjusted. If you remember correctly, Tina had to come in and get the fireplace working for us when we checked in as the pilot light was out when we got there. Its really not a complaint but maybe something that can be checked into.) The breakfast and coffee were delicious! We were definitely impressed with our stay and will hopefully be staying again in the Hundred Acre Woods Room. My 65th birthday is in April so it may be sooner than later!

Cozy and relaxing
Lydia Mountain Lodge is a beautiful place that is cozy and relaxing to stay at! The room was very clean and tastefully decorated! The restaurant has hot, delicious food served by charming staff. The only caution would be the need to be aware that this is up in the mountains and the narrow, steep road to the Lodge quickly gets icy in the winter! It's best to come in a vehicle that is good in all weather conditions.

Improvements possible on an amazing lodge
More gravel in parking space. Two towels were a bit frayed (holes)
We are coming back for sure.

Not Happy!
I was kept awake for 2 nights due to the noisy air conditioner. I went upstairs to the loft. The bed was not even made up from previous visitors. All the sheets were all over the bed and the pillows were everywhere. Needless to say, I was quite mad and had to go back down to the noisy ac. For the amount of money we paid, that was ridiculous!! I don't know if we will return! It ruined our anniversary!!!

Disappointed
This is our fifth time staying at the lodge and we were thoroughly looking forward to it. However, we walked away greatly disappointed. We were excited to stay in the room the hundred acre suite, considering it was under construction during one of our stays. The sweet stuff was very nice however, the heater in the main bedroom rattle loudly., the fireplace in the same room could not be shut off without unplugging it because there was no remote to be found. Additionally, the fireplace in the living room was not functional at all with the remote and yes, we tried that remote in the bedroom and it did not work either.. The refrigerator was not cold.. It was very unexpected that the place just seemed completely empty. The only staff that we saw or even encountered whatsoever was the manager of the restaurant when we ate dinner one night.. something else that we encountered unexpectedly with stink bugs. We are familiar with the mountains and we are familiar with bugs, but had not encountered them at Lydia Mountain Lodge prior to this visit and yes, previous visits were the same time of the year.. to walk away this weekend knowing how much money we spent to stay at a place that we thoroughly enjoyed previously, was a huge disappointment and very frustrating. At this point, our return is not likely..
