The hotel is beautiful with options to swim in many pools and the ocean. Its about 20-30 minutes to all the cool places on the island and about a 15 minute walk to the new entertainment district. The staff is very friendly and everything is clean and tidy. I just wish they had one or more quick bite places for those without all inclusive or by the pool bars.

The whole experience, from Titon who cleaned our room, to all the staff, nothing was too much trouble. A great mix of pools. Bars & places to eat. We upgraded to all inclusive and enjoyed all the options. Thank you

This is a well appointed amazing hotel. I had no idea how large it was. It’s very efficiently run. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is very clean The children’s pool with slides is perfect - we had my 2 year old granddaughter with us. Ricardos and Luzzo restaurants are particularly good. In both restaurants there are large well equipped children’s areas. We also liked the adults area especially the sky bar in the evenings and had a wonderful meal at Minoa restaurant on 11th floor with fab views over the bay. The outside area is safe and pleasant unlike many popular areas in Malta which are just shocking. AX hotel is expertly run and I wouldn’t hesitate to highly recommend this hotel

We just stayed here for 4 nights, and I've gotta say it was an amazing visit. The hotel was in a great location, easy to get a bus or taxi from, or a nice stroll into town. The hotel had plenty to keep you occupied day and evening, and the food was amazing.

I don't normally stay in big hotels, but this was an excellent experience. My wife is in a wheelchair and the amenities for her were perfect, big rooms and great views if you are at the front of the hotel. Food was excellent literally no complaints

This hotel was really nice. It was clean all around & had a lovely atmosphere. The staff were nice and helpful. Breakfast was nice with a wide variety. The adults only pool area on the roof was a pleasant surprise and was so nice. The only downsides for me were that the mini fridge in our room did not keep our items cold enough. And breakfast is stated to end at 11am, but we were asked to leave by 10.15-10.30 so they could prepare for lunchtime. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again.

Having a two-bedroom room for less than suite prices is a godsend with a toddler. The kids pool was great. The facilities were well maintained. Shame they didn’t explain you could only use the soft play while eating in the Italian restaurant… even when we were in the aforementioned restaurant. Also red wine was diabolically bad.
