Welcome to "Dune Our Thing"!

This 5BR/4BA stunning BEACHFRONT home is nestled alongside high dunes and natural vegetation in a private neighborhood known as the ‘Bluffs’, located within the prestigious St. George Plantation community.

Cheerful and freshly decorated, the top floor living space offers a Gulfside living room with large HDTV and Blu-ray DVD player, open dining area with a picturesque Gulf view and a spacious kitchen. Relax in the breeze on the covered deck overlooking sparkling Gulf waters, lounge with a beach read from our extensive book library or spend the day beachside. The well-equipped kitchen offers plenty of room for multiple chefs, a dedicated pantry and new appliances. For added convenience, we have a standard 12 cup coffee maker and Keurig coffee maker.

Four bedrooms, including two master suites, can be found on the lower floors. The first King suite with flat screen TV and Blu-ray DVD player offers wide window views of the Gulf of Mexico and opens onto a furnished sundeck. The roomy ensuite bathroom has a walk-in shower, double sinks and plenty of counter space.

The second master suite opens onto a furnished and private screened-in porch with steps to access back yard and shell-lined beach path. This King suite has a flat screen TV and Blu-ray DVD player and an ensuite bathroom with tub/shower.

Across the hall you will find the third King bedroom with flat screen TV and a fourth bedroom with 2 twin beds and a flat screen TV. A full bathroom with separate vanity area and tub/shower is accessible just outside of these two bedrooms.

On the ground level of the home is our family rec. room. This secondary living space offers a large, HDTV with Blu-Ray DVD player, Wii game system, boardgames and puzzles. A full bathroom with tub/shower and a Twin over Full bunk bed turn this space from a spacious kids' suite into a 5th bedroom. Sliding glass doors open onto a covered, ground level deck space with beach boardwalk just outside the door or to the enclosed hot/cold outdoor shower with foot-washing station, fish cleaning sink and gas grill.

Just a short stroll across the property is the large, shared pool limited to guests of the Bluffs neighborhood. And as a guest staying inside the St. George Plantation community, you also have access to the two community swimming pools - one just two blocks away, tennis and pickleball courts and Clubhouse.

Additional conveniences include covered parking and entry, whole-house intercom system, laundry room with full size washer/dryer, pack-n-play and beach towels for your use.

I wasn’t expecting so many steps. Many many switches for lights, fans etc. none were labeled. The availability of phone cameras allows user to provide property pictures to show angles and spaces of rooms at their best. The upstairs was a nice kitchen tv room. The mbr and bath were awesome. It was nice to have the gas grill to use one evening. Outdoor shower was a definite plus. Roaches were a bother but dealt with quickly by the management. On the subject of management, the property owner should be very happy with the group they have. They were very responsive to any issue we had and questions.

Plantation Perfection

The house is located in The Plantation on St George. We vacationed with my husbands family(5 adults & 5 teens-ages 13-17). We had plenty os space to spread out when we needed and plenty of space to come together. A beautiful view of the Gulf just over the dunes. The boardwalk out to ocean was well taken care of. The house itself was beautiful! The owners and/or property management had thought of everything to have on property-plenty of tableware, silverware, & drinkware. There were 2 coffee makers (Keurig & regular ol’ coffee pot) & an espresso machine. They had provided towels, first round of TP, & so much more. While we were there, the Keurig stopped working & we had a new one in just a few hours-very quick & attentive property management!! I did learn not to order Amazon to the house b/c they don’t accept Amazon orders to renters;however,a quick,easy, & much needed outing to the post office fixed that!Also,if not accustomed to mineral-ly (sorry I just created a word),take your own water & buy ice just before coming over the bridge! Also know (if this is your first trip) Piggly Wiggly is all you got! If you’re coming through Tallahassee & want to stop off at Costco or Publix-bring a cooler! All the beds were comfy-my son said even the sofa bed was comfy ☺️ Our family loved the shower water pressure. Oh, speaking of shower, we LOVED the outside shower!!As for the ocean & beach, it’s full of marine life!!We’ll be back Dune Our Thing!

Dune Our Thing

The arrangements of bedrooms worked out well for our group of 8 adults. The three levels of staircases were a challenge for our two toddlers under age four, with the kitchen/living area on the top level. We could see the water, but not the beach from the house, due to the dunes. The house was well equipped, and the beds were all super comfortable. The walk to the beach involved lots of steps up and down over the dunes. We found there was not enough comfortable seating for us all in the family area, nor on the porch. But overall it was a very nice and clean house. Property management addressed our concerns quickly when we had a problem with the gas grill and then a leak from the ice maker. We especially enjoyed the Bluff neighborhood pool, just across the street from the house!

Perfect.

No complaints at all. Unit was ready. It was clean and lacked nothing of importance to our group. Property managers even checked in with us after we settled in just to make sure everything was okay. Would stay here again without a question.

Dune our Thing Family Stay

We thoroughly enjoyed or stay at this property. The house was very clean and the furnishings were comfortable. There are a few things that would have made the stay more comfortable. More towels would have meant we did not have to do laundry as frequently. Only one towel and washcloth was provided per person for a week long stay. Tape/paint on the short step in the back to draw attention to it. Two of our family members fell there. The ice maker did not work and was frozen over for our entire stay. The home is not at all accessible or equips for safety, the Master Bath has a large bubble tub where the shower is but it is deep and has no hand rails. This was the source of a slip and bad bruise for a member of our party. We enjoyed the stay despite these notes and particularly loved the screened porch. Thank you for having our family.

St. George Vacation

The house was very nice. It was odd that the kitchen/living was on the top floor with no restroom. There was plenty of space for my family who went. It is not good for someone who is partially disabled. Lots of stair climbing and if you were on the top level you had to at least go down a flight of stairs to use the bathroom. The walkway to the beach made beach access nice but also a disabled person would have trouble with all the stairs. There was no handicap accessiblity to get to the beach nearby.

A lovely week spent on SGI at Dune Our Thing

A great beachfront property with everything that you need. Well stocked with beautiful views and steps away from a quiet gorgeous beach. We hated to leave. The Vakay Gear credit was also great to rent bikes and chairs. The property management group and owners were great to work with as well. We would like to go back tomorrow.

Beach Perfection

We loved this property. It has easy beach access and is even more secluded than most parts of SGI. It was spotless and the beds were very comfortable made a 10 day stay even more relaxing. There is no bath on main and the steps may not be for everyone, but it was perfect for us because we all enjoyed separate bedrooms and living spaces that the different levels provided. The kitchen is large, well-appointed and had lots of cupboard space-another great aspect of this house. Definitely a “do over”!

Incomplete outdoor living space

House was great, but there wasn’t a nice deck/porch space for us to have our morning coffee and watch for dolphins together. This is a favorite for us and we were disappointed. I have a bad knee and all the stairs across the dune we’re quite a challenge for me. I would have passed on this house if I had known. Jamie was great!

Great house

Great property! We loved being on the beach without own boardwalk. The community pool was ours most of the time. The property manager was very helpful. Great touches like the beach towels for guests and the chairs.

Wonderful Experience

Dune our Thing did not disappoint. Beautiful home with nice furnishings. Fantastic kitchen with great pots/pans and everything we needed for cooking all week. Owner very responsive when A/C went out and it was fixed quickly. The A/C worked great after that. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful home

Spacious home. Well supplied kitchen with good pans, cutlery, utensils. Great beach chairs. Beach toys and beach towels provided. House was directly across the street from a small community pool and down the street from a larger pool. Would absolutely stay here again!
