Beautiful historic mansion!

The home was incredible and just as stated in the description. Ample living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms, plus many creature comforts and period decorations in every room! This historic mansion was a treasured place to live for a few days. The owners/managers were very kind and friendly, too!

Great Victorian mansion

If you’re looking for a place to stay that’s close to all of the Lincoln historical sites then this is it! Close to the capital building also. Mansion is in very good condition and decorated with all period furniture. Also has the modern features that you would expect. Great place to stay!

Beautiful, cosy, and all together perfect

We spent the weekend in the ground floor, and to say it was perfect would be an understatement! Impeccably clean, beautifully up kept, and so incredibly worth it! The Bressmer’s cosy, antique, victorian furnishing were the perfect background to a weekend of memories and laughter. It’s creaky hardwood floors will stay with us for decades on, and we absolutely cannot wait to return and explore even more of its secrets.

A wonderful chance to experience the past

This magnificently maintained property was like a step back in time with the many period furniture features plus all the needed mod cons. Beds were comfortable, location was perfect for touring main Lincoln attractions in Springfield, and the home from home feel was much appreciated. Owner responded promptly and helpfully to all inquiries.

We were delighted with The Bressmer. The ground floor is very large with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a game room, a writing room, full kitchen and dining room. The rooms are beautifully decorated in Victorian style. We felt so special staying at The Bressmer we didn't want to leave.

Super stay in Springfield

My colleague and I made this gorgeous house our home away from home while attending a conference in Springfield. We loved all the beautiful furnishings and features of this historic house, and appreciated the modern kitchen, wifi, and TVs as well. Although other guests were staying on the other floors, we heard very little and found the house and neighborhood to be peaceful and quiet. We highly recommend this VRBP property!

A nice stay!

The Bressmer was as advertised. Large enough for our family of 6 adults, in a nice, fairly quiet neighborhood (some truck noises from street), and ideally located near Springfield’s many downtown attractions. The kitchen was sparsely outfitted and floors appeared clean, but stained my white socks - needing more/better mopping.

Lovely house

Family get together with people travelling from Ohio and Nebraska. The house is lovely with beautiful antiques. Safe walkable neighborhood, we enjoyed the State House tour and the Lincoln home. Highly recommend this one of a kind home. Thanks for sharing it with us!

Wonderful stay!

The property was very clean and absolutely gorgeous. If you are looking for a location that feels like old world charm and the warm comforts of home, choose this. The size is perfect for a group of friends who just want to catch up around the parlor/living room or for a family trip where everyone needs their own room and space. The kitchen was clean and ready to be used for cooking a home prepared meal. The bathrooms were clean and ready for bathtub time if you have young kids who need there nightly bath in their routine. Parking was super convenient and easy. No on street parking...park, walk up to the porch, super easy. We will definitely be visiting again!

Family reunion

It was just about getting our family together and it really didn’t matter where as long as we were all comfortable. And just to make things clear, we were very comfortable! The Bressmer house was A very nice place that was roomy, nicely decorated and very clean. Each of us took a little tours through the house to admire the beauty of the word work mainly. It was nice just to get together with the family and have lots of comfortable furniture to sit on and very comfy mattresses to sleep on! Thanks for a great stay!

Very Nice Property

Although my group stay was short…the place was amazing. Vintage historic place that was amazingly upgraded with nice amenities. Location was perfectly located in the heart of Springfield. I would definitely recommend this place to stay if coming to Springfield.
