"This is a prime location for a hotel. This is like a blast from the past, it reminds me of the old 1950’s surfer movies. It gives motel vibes, but has been updated. The rooms themselves were redone at some point in the recent past. The beds were not the most comfortable, but were clean. One bed was very squishy, the other very firm.
When we first checked in, we entered our room to find the AC unit blowing air, but not cool air. It was very humid in the room, so I called the desk to see if they could help us. The nice lady at the desk sent someone over while we went to grab some food. By the time we got back it was very comfortable in the room.
Only real complaint was the shower. My wife refused to get in because it was not the cleanest looking shower. Although the water pressure was phenomenal. The bathroom was not was not quite as updated as the rest of the room.
Overall, this was a decent stay. Breakfast was better than most hotels. The lazy river was nice. And the staff was amazing. With a little updating in the bathroom, this place would be a must stop."
