Surrounded by vineyards, olive orchards, and oak trees, this idyllic retreat boasts panoramic daytime views, stunning sunrises and sunsets, and night star viewing. If you are looking for a relaxing wine country getaway, a space to dream and unwind in, or office space to work in, this private sanctuary is for you! Surrounded by nature, the apartment is only a 5-minute drive to downtown Solvang, charming boutique shopping, tasting rooms, cozy coffee shops, fine dining, biking, golf, hiking, the Chumash Casino, and first class wineries in the heart of wine and horse country. Beautiful Lake Cachuma is only a 20-minute drive, and ocean beaches are located 30 minutes away. This tranquil 1,100 sq ft space offers 2 bedrooms with Queen beds and 1 full-sized bathroom, a fully stocked kitchen, open-plan living and dining area, and large office space. Amenities include a 55" flat screen TV, Starlink WiFi, AC, washer/dryer, ample parking, and a peaceful garden area. Enjoy a glass of wine on your private balcony. Sleeps 4 comfortably. Absolutely no additional or unregistered guests. PLEASE NOTE: Apartment is not ADA compliant. It is accessible via a flight of stairs from the driveway. Please do not book if you cannot navigate the outdoor staircase safely. We cannot accommodate children or pets. No smoking or parties permitted. Quiet hours begin at 10pm. All bookings require a primary guest who is at least 25 years old. Self check-in with keypad. Ample parking space in the gravel area. The garage below the apartment is for full-time tenants use only. We live in the main house on the hill, and there is a separate guest house on the property that is rented to full-time tenants. Both are just a short walk from the apartment up private driveways. We kindly request that you observe the privacy of the full-time residents. Feel free to enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the estate by taking leisurely walks on the main road running through the property. We are in the country and there are bugs and wildlife. At night there is a chance of seeing a raccoon, skunk, deer, opossum, or coyote. They will very rarely approach or even come close. We stayed five nights. Clean, roomy for 4 and private.Nice kitchen (has pretty much everything you'd have at home) Shower pressure is a bit light and bathroom is tight, but well stocked with towels and toiletries.TV does not have normal cable programming (re aired and off brand news, sports and other programming. It has various apps (Netflix YouTube etc), but the sign is are too much work/dead end/pretty much impossible. That leaves you more or less stuck with less than ideal tv programming. The host is very nice and the information booklet is very informative.The 4pm check in 10am check out is a bit inconvenient and makes you feel rushed. Also, while you're paying a not insignificant cleaning fee you're being "kindly reminded" of the "clean up rules" the evening before departure. I understand that this is commonplace in the vacation rental app industry but while the messaging of the Hilton Hotels commercials is snarky it kind of rings true.That being said vacation rentals are a good alternative in Solvang and other localities in the California Central Coast and I'd do this one again with the hopes that they install regular cable tv. ##### David S. Tranquil location and comfortable accommodations. It was easy to get to location - but follow Norma's directions. We loved the drive to the apartment and seeing the cows and horses along the hillsides. Sitting on the upper deck with wine watching the sunset was fabulous. It gets pitch dark at night which was perfect for star gazing. 10min to restaurant's and grocery and a hop skip to the winery's. We can't wait to go back and visit. This property is amazing. Quiet, and off the beaten path set on a working vineyard, yet only 5 minutes to downtown Solvang. Norma and Joe have thought of your every need, from the very nice bottle of wine upon arrival, to the Nespresso coffee pods for your morning coffee. The accommodations are wonderful. The location was very convenient for wine tasting both up Foxen Canyon Road, downtown Los Olivos as well as west of the 101 on Santa Rosa Rd. Very centrally located. The loft was super clean, spacious, with a comfortable living room, table for eating, and kitchen for any cooking you may want to do. The host provided ground coffee, Nespresso pods, tea, half and half and even bottled water. I appreciate when extra effort is made to provide for a relaxing morning with everything we need. Directions were great. Had no issues, even driving at night. Everything is set up to be very welcoming. It’s comfortable, roomy, very clean and feels like home.
