« The lady owner was friendly and lovely from the moment I arrived. I was made to feel very welcome and was even treated to a plate of home made biscuits. The bed was comfy and I had an amazing night's sleep. Breakfast was served at a time that was convenient to me and everything was very fresh. The bread and jam were also home made. The property is in a very quiet location and in lovely gardens and provides a great place to stay during a visit to the lake district. »

Breakfast was amazing, local ingredients (quality), tasty fruit salad, freshly squeezed orange juice and a surprise Easter egg on Easter Sunday. They think of lovely touches like complimentary cake in the afternoon. Have stayed in lots of places in Keswick but this place is the best. Definitely returning next year. Also staff are so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. They make you feel special »

« Location - The hotel is situated in a great location. Very much walking distance to everything central. Room - Very basic, the bed and pillows were not comfortable for me at all, but my partner didn’t mind them. It was clean. However, under the bed could have done to have been hoovered, I only noticed it because I dropped something under there though. Building - Being an old building, everything is very creaky. Our upstairs neighbours must have had ants in their pants because they couldn’t...

« Des gens charmants, bon lit, petit-déjeuner convenable, mais chambre gelante, pas de radiateur dans la salle de bain, peu de débit d'eau, pas d'espace pour les touristes au rez-de-chaussée hormis le matin lors du petit déjeuner. Dans un village près de Keswick, mais pas à Keswick. Dans ces conditions, assez cher. »
