Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Sibambe?
The best area to stay in Sibambe is within the main village itself, particularly close to the Sibambe train station.

Sibambe is a small, rural village primarily known as a stop on the historic Devil's Nose train journey. The village is compact, with most amenities and guesthouses clustered around the station, which serves as the central point. You'll find a few local eateries and craft stalls here, suiting train passengers.

For travellers primarily visiting to experience the Devil's Nose train ride, staying near the station is ideal. It offers unparalleled convenience for early morning departures or late afternoon arrivals, minimising travel time and ensuring a stress-free start or end to your journey.
When is the best time to go to Sibambe?
The best time to visit Sibambe is during the dry season, which runs from June to September.

During these months, you'll experience clearer skies and less rainfall, making it ideal for outdoor activities and enjoying the scenic train journey through the Andean landscape. The weather is generally pleasant, with warm days and cooler evenings.

This period is particularly good for those planning to ride the famous Devil's Nose train, as the views are unobstructed and the journey is more comfortable without the risk of heavy downpours. It's a great time for adventurers and those keen on experiencing the natural beauty of the region.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
