Charming, Cozy, & Peaceful Mountain Getaway for Family & Friends

The Arthur Cabin is surrounded by towering pines in a quiet cul-de-sac in the beautiful town of Shaver Lake with an elevation of 5,500 feet. You can experience the cabin's unique history in a photo album from the clearing of the land to the present remodel. The antiques in the cabin take you back in time while you relax in comfort. A variety of physical and culinary adventures are around every corner in or near the town of Shaver Lake which is only a 3 minute drive. At the lake, you can enjoy boating, swimming, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding, or relax on a sandy beach. In the Sierra Mountains, you will find an abundance of hiking trails with spectacular views of surrounding mountain peaks or picturesque lakes and waterfalls. If you take a short drive, you will discover and find Huntington Lake, Kaiser Wilderness, McKinley Grove Redwood Trees, or the Dinkey Lakes Wilderness. Winter enthusiasts can play in the snow at the cabin or head to one of the snow parks. If you enjoy the thrill of downhill skiing, then you are 20 minutes away from the China Peak Ski Resort. There are quite a few restaurants in the town of Shaver Lake that offer a variety of food choices for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If you just want to hang out at the cabin, we have plenty of fun games available for our guests - foosball, air hockey, a pool table, horseshoes, and a cornhole game. The quietness of the deck along with a comfy chair is a great place to sit and enjoy your favorite book. You can even plan a family movie night with over 100 dvd's to choose from. The Arthur Cabin is fully equipped with everything you will need to provide a comfortable and relaxing experience for your get together. We personally manage our own cabin and take pride in providing our guests with a clean, fun, and relaxing cabin with lots of character.

Wonderful Cabin!

This is the best cabin I have ever rented at Shaver! The layout is fantastic with three bedrooms upstairs and master downstairs. There was plenty of room for a family much bigger than our family of 5. It was incredibly clean and has the cozy cabin/cottage feel that we just adore. From the fireplace to the newel posts, the attention to detail to every space makes the experience special. We spent my husband's 50th birthday in the cabin. McKinley Grove is about 35 minutes away. The center of town is 5 minutes away. The cabin is centrally located and in a quiet area. We had a wonderful time and can't wait for another trip!

Family vacay

We had a wonderful stay in this cabin. The kitchen was the best stocked kitchen I've had at a vacation rental. There was plenty of space for everyone. Our kids loved all the different indoor and outdoor games that came with the house. All the furniture including beds were comfortable and cozy. The owner had great communication and reached out on several occasions providing all the important information we needed. I highly recommended this cabin for your family vacation!

This cabin is perfect for a family of 10! Lots of room for everyone. So clean & a lot of amenities included. Our host, Debbie, was very informative & easy to get a hold of. We had a great time playing cornhole and sitting out on the deck barbecuing. Everything you need to cook or bake is available in the kitchen. Highly recommend this property! New memories

The purpose of this trip was to ski at China Peak and find a place lay our heads at night. This place met our expectations and beyond. The house was extremely well equipped with everything we needed. The instructions around the house were so helpful especially for the fireplace. The kitchen was outstanding. We cooked several meals in the house and did not need to bring anything. Felt like you were cooking in your own kitchen. The dining room table was used all the time. It was large enough to have everyone enjoy their meals. The beds were very comfortable. Even the loft beds. The host checked in and made sure we did not need anything which was very nice. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for opening your home to us.

Safe and warm during a big snow!

When we arrived on Thursday, there was only patchy snow....when we left on Sunday, there was 4 feet of fresh snow! The cabin was neat and clean and perfect for my family of 5 adults and 5 children. The Kitchen was well suppled and all appliances worked well...as did the fireplace. My grandkids enjoyed sledding down a couple of hills near the Cabin...we didn't have to drive anywhere. The Owner was wonderful to stay in contact with us due to forecast blizzard conditions (the blizzard didn't happen at Shaver's elevation, but lots of snow did!). Snowplows in the Cabin area were out early on Saturday and Sunday mornings and we had no trouble getting out to the highway when it was time to go home.

Cleanest, Nicest Stay Ever!

This was hands down the cleanest vacation rental we have ever stayed at! The home was lovely and cozy. The owner was so friendly, helpful and communicative which I so appreciate since the last Shaver rental we stayed at the heater was broken and we didn’t get a response until the next day! Winter 2023

This property was amazing, perfect for multiple people or multiple families. We were snowed in and we had so much fun. The property was clean completely stocked and the host was absolutely amazing. We will definitely book again!!!
