« We had a relaxing trip. When we arrived Crystal had hid 72 eggs all around the property. The kids, even the teenagers, loved it after travelling in the car. The cabin is so neat and vintage. We made Lego flowers, clay creations, enjoyed porch sitting and Yokums hot dogs are the very best! We had a wonderful Easter dinner in the kitchen. The day after Easter we toured Smokehole Caverns. We made memories that we will never forget. »

« This was the most fully-equipped home ever encountered and the photo does not do it justice! Our family of 5 (Grandma, parents, and 12 and 13 yr. old) were especially taken by the huge patio, with large table, sofas, sun chairs and two kinds of grills. The kids chose to sleep in the finished basement, on two futons and their own tv. View of Seneca Rocks was spectacular. Countless blankets available, as well as kitchen utensils, condiments, even coffee. Close to small town with basic stores....

« The condo was lovely with amazing amenities. Very quiet but it was too far from trails, eateries, and other things to do. Had to drive everywhere and there was no view but there was a nice deck.Again very nice but just didn’t include some of the logistics I had hoped for. This was not our first time at Canaan but our first time at this property. Beware, there are steps from parking lot to unit but condo is one floor. »

« The house is in a great location to visit all the attractions in the area of the Canaan Valley of West Virginia. If you like hiking there are plenty of trails nearby. The house is pleasant, comfortable and well equipped. The owners Laurie and Chip are next door if you need any assistance. The mountain views are spectacular! »

« Alpha's Log Cabin in the woods exceeded our expectations held when we selected this location for our 37th anniversary get-away. The cabin itself is a wonderful lodging place located on a beautiful secluded wooded site where no other dwellings are in view, with a well-kept small yard and attractive flower/shrub beds that all served to give us a nestled-in, very comfortable feeling. « Location is perfectly central to all that we wanted to do. Size & amenities were great. We enjoyed the visits for the neighborhood cat. Host very attentive. Only wish he had more vacation homes just like this one, because we were unable to book with him next year for the same week. He was so helpful in trying to find us another location near this one. « The views from Jim's property are AMAZING! The entire setting is an experience you must have at least once! At every glance inside Jim's house you will discover pieces he has collected from all over the world. It is truly a gift he is sharing with anyone who stays.
