"Refurbishments are well advanced and a making a big difference to the hotel. However some of the finishing of the work seems rather poor. All in all, not quite up to the usual Holiday Inn standard. Bring your own shower gel?"

"We stayed here in 2022 and the recent refurb has made this even nicer. Lovely old building with character, a great bar and lovely staff. Great location."

"Wonderful room.. No TV, which we knew, and that was a pleasure. Staff very polite and helpful. Nothing seemed too much for them. The Wi-Fi will be needed, if you want the internet, as poor reception. Excellent breakfast to top it all. Third visit, we'll be back again, maybe next year. :)"
