The 8th bedroom opens in February. Perfect for large groups, individuals, family reunions, church retreats and small family getaways. With 6000 sq ft, this home is large and features a full range of upgrades. Features include an elevator, sub-zero refrigerator, pool table, (2) living areas, basketball court, private pool and (2) canoes. The pool is oversized to handle the large groups. The backyard is chain-link fenced for the kids and pets. Pet fee $95\. The river is currently LOW as GBRA works on the dam. However, there is enough water to canoe, fish and swim. We added stairs to help access the river. The pool is oversized to accommodate large groups such as reunions and retreats. It is private and not a community pool. Pool closes November 15th and reopens March 8\. The property (pool and courts) extend across the street. The lake is low low because of work on the dam. We were not able to enjoy the lake. The swimming pool is wonderful. We spent many hours at the pool and the children really enjoyed it. We had a bit of trouble with downstairs AC but owner sent someone over the next day!! Overall house and pool we GREAT!! Everyone had a fun, fenced in yard was a big plus for our pets. Everyone had a Great time! Wish the river were higher it looks like it has been a long time since it’s been low. Which is really sad!! The pool is Wonderful! At first we wondered where it was. It was comical actually! It’s across the street and it’s all yours! We went to New Braunfels which isn’t far and floated the Guadalupe River. My daughter went sky diving in San Marcos. There were plenty of bedrooms spread out over three floors, which was a big plus given our mix of four family units with small children and pets. There were three large tables that allowed our group of 12 to enjoy meals together. The enclosed backyard offered safety and security for the small children and pets, and the paved walkway made for a convenient walk to the river on the back of the property, where we were able to do some fishing and canoeing. The property is still undergoing renovations, but it is no way negatively impacted our visit. We even use the elevator to help move luggage, etc. from the first floor to the upper levels and back. the location is convenient to a local Walmart in H-E-B, as well as shopping and activities in Wimberley, Seguin, San Marcos, new Braunfels, and San Antonio. Randy stop by a couple of times to check on things and was very responsive by phone and text when we had questions to be answered. Jun 1, 2024 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location #### GREAT Experience . . . We so enjoyed our stay at this beautiful property. Always a good time when family can be together. There was plenty of room for all 11 of us and our dog to spread out and enjoy the space. It was great that the backyard area was fenced in so the dog could roam around a little with no worries. Everyone really enjoyed swimming in the pool, fishing, using the canoe, and playing pool on the first floor. My 87 year old father caught a huge fish from the bank. The elevator was a huge help with carrying up groceries and our luggage. The only issue I had is really specific to my situation. I use a walker and I was not aware that there was no bathroom downstairs on the first floor. I didn't see any notations in the property description about it, but inside the house there was an explanation sheet explaining why.. It was just a little inconvenient for me and the peron who slept in the bedroom on the first floor. The host was very attentive and stopped by to see if everything was as expected. It was very spacious and with many rooms to accommodate our family. Our host was very informative, and prompt to answer any questions we had. The kitchen was filled with pots, pans and utensils for all our cooking needs.The main family rooms had plenty of updated seating where we played many games and enjoyed the billiards table, which i would consider an upgrade or repairs. Unfortunately there is no first floor bathroom, but the elevator was very helpful to gain second and third floor access. The pool was not cleaned, however the season was not in our favor and our host did state it's reason. I'm just not to fond with it's location across the street and slightly out of eye supervision. The river was at a low which was also stated, however the fishing was still great. Our son caught and resealed several 36" mud catfish. The canooing was also great. We would have liked to enjoy more outside gatherings on the patios but the seating was dirty and very worn. There was much leaves on the ground that we would have appreciated could have been removed prior to our visit We extremely enjoyed grilling and cooking marshmallows on the second floor fire pit, providing some fire wood would be a plus Over all, our stay was memorable and fun. It is just 30 minutes from San Antonio where we were able to visit our son and our new born grand baby. We will definitely look into booking again in the late summer season. ##### Mariano D. My entire family was able to stay and sleep comfortably in this house. I have four adult kids and seven grandkids. We stayed there to have a big family Christmas. There was a big Christmas tree 🎄 in the downstairs game room all decorated for us. My grandkids made some homemade ornaments and left them on the tree for the next guests. There was an elf on the shelf that the kids loved as well. That elf really got around in that house. It made it down the balcony from the third floor to the second floor with some Christmas tree tinsel and was just hanging from the tinsel. Lol The house is fully stocked with everything you need. Plenty of EVERYTHING. The outdoor balconies were fun to sit out on and enjoy some sun and peace. The canoe was a blast for the kids. My son put a trolling motor on a canoe and took the kids for a ride with their life jackets on. The guys enjoyed fishing and even caught some fish. They loved that. We played lots of fun games and enjoyed watching tv together. We had Christmas dinner and there was plenty of seating for everyone with the two huge dining tables on the second floor. Aug 22, 2023 Liked: Check-in, communication, location Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy #### Honest Review We rented this house for our annual girls trip.Let me start by saying this house met our needs and the owner was super helpful and accomadating. I do want to give an honest and respectful review. Upon arrival the house was not cleaned well. One of the beds had a stain on it, air vents were full of dust, food was splattered on the ceilling, counter tops were not wiped down. I immediately contacted owner and he was very concerned about the findings and came right over to fix the issues. He was very appologetic and explained he uses a cleaning service and would refund our cleaning fee, which he did. The house had plenty of rooms and the beds were comfortable. The pool table was fun. The elevator is not accessible which was no big deal. The Pool was great even though it was accross the street it was no problem at all. I feel like the pictures and the description of the house should be updated to reflect what it is today. the pictures were definately from a long time ago as the dock is missing boards and the flat sitting area on the yard level is no longer there. Overall the house met our needs, we had a wonderful time, the owner was very accomadating, and we made memories to last a lifetime.
