"Stayed before because of location. Just know you are beside People’s Park center, which is an old establishment, showcasing Singapore of yesteryear. The hotel itself boasts shops but these shops sell Chinese statues and massages that a foreigner would likely find little interest in. We stayed for a week and requested the upgraded room. It’s nicer overall but construction is shoddy. The heavy glass bathroom room was sagging as the top hinge was crooked. The glass door lock was broken the latch missing. Closing it required forceful push as the bottom scrapped the floor. The vanity faucet unit was also loose and not securely installed. Again, this is an upgraded room. But overall, the family suite was spacious for Singapore standards with 2 separate a/c control units. Lots of outlets to charge devices. Kitchenware and microwave were handy. We didn’t have small children so didn’t bother requesting another room. We did enjoy the buffet at Tiffany’s. Make sure to use the 50% lunch coupon if available. In the future we will consider neighboring hotels like Royal Park Collection, Robertson CQ, Paradox and Mercure. They are all a coupe of blocks of each other and all seem newer. Thanks for reading."
