The cottage is awesome with excellent amenities. It's secluded enough not to be disturbed and only 20 minutes from town. The drive to Scottsboro is beautiful. Our host was courteous and helpful. Ecellent vacation choice.
This was the perfect little house for our visit. Everyone had their own space but great for gathering. Everything was remodeled so it was updated and fresh. We had everything we needed and more.
Great peaceful getaway not far from a beach, door dash available. Very clean &stocked . We enjoyed our stay & would gladly stay again. Only thing was GPS tried to take me down a scary closed Rd 38. But there are alternative routes that I found !!! Host was very kind & communication was excellent . Safe neighborhood too.
Overall our stay at the Maple Tree Cottage was a nice experience. Each room was a great size. The beds were more firm than we're used to, but the sheets were soft. The large dining room table was nice for our whole family and the outdoor entertaining area worked for us too. Some of the kitchen utensils need to be replaced, as they have bubbled up and melted. A set of bamboo/wooden utensils would've been better. Otherwise, there were plenty of dishes and silverware for our whole crew. The neighborhood is quiet, but if you have dogs beware of a gray Pit-mix that runs into the yard. I was walking our two dogs at night and the dog came upon us and startled us. He kept his distance, but it was alarming. I would recommend this house and would consider staying here in the future. It was clean and the owner, Stacey, was easy to communicate with. Thank you.
It was nicely decorated and clean. Very well stocked in the kitchen with utensils, pots & pans and the appliances were very clean, bathrooms had plenty of towels, laundry soap, dish soap etc. The hot tub was nice but it lost heat quickly when you got in. We did go during a cold spell so maybe that was why? The fire-pit was nice and there was wood there to burn. Some of the neighbors houses/yards are kinda run down but we felt safe and they didn't bother us or talk to us. There are chickens and a rooster next door but we didn't hear to rooster in the morning inside. I only left a 4 star rating because the beds were very hard like the beds you order that are foam and come in a box maybe? This is personal a preference thing though. Overall it was a great stay and we enjoyed our time there. There was a-lot to do around the area and great restaurants. We went to the space museum one day as well which was fun. Stacey was quick to respond and gave clear instructions for check in/out! Thanks!
