The gite itself was nice and Jean Luc the host was pleasant and responsive. The biggest frustration was a very fussy shower faucet which made it virtually impossible to control the temperature between scalding and ice cold. We understand French & European gites can be much more limited on amenities, but it would have been nice to have a starter roll of toilet paper, bath towels, a clean sponge in the kitchen, dish soap, etc. Just some small, basic touches would have gone a long, long way. In fairness, when we asked for something, the host provided it. It just would have been nice to arrive with a few basics already there."
