From the front porch you can look across the street to see the famous, Pirate's House Restaurant & Tavern. The Cottage is decorated with a wonderful collection of period antiques as well as comfortable Southern style furnishings. One of the most striking features are the sparkling chandeliers scattered throughout the home. The home features 2 bedrooms with queen beds; one with en-suite bath, comfortably sleeps 4\. Each bed is covered with high quality linens, quilt coverlets and comfy pillows. The second full bath also features a new large capacity front load washer and dryer. Both baths are stocked thirsty towels. The living room features 2 armchairs, comfy sofa and large television. There are 4 decorative fireplaces throughout the Cottage to add wonderful ambiance & charm. The kitchen was renovated with granite countertops and all new stainless steel appliances including a full size refrigerator, range, microwave and dishwasher. The cabinets are fully stocked with all your cooking and dining needs; glassware and dinnerware for 8 as well a set of cookware, generous supply of bowls, utensil's and accessories. Also there is a coffee maker & toaster. The kitchen is complimented with a breakfast nook and crystal chandeliers. The dining room hosts a 4 seat dining table with glass top which beautifully reflects the light of the chandelier above. Across the room is a lovely Victorian double framed mirror. Just outside the side door, sits a petite stone courtyard and is perfect for enjoying that morning coffee, reading or an evening nightcap. The Cottage is PET FRIENDLY so that you may bring your best friends on your perfect vacation. The petite courtyard is perfect for them to enjoy, as well as having Washington Square nearby. Our community is very dog friendly; the neighbors with their dogs gather in the Square in the afternoons and welcome our visitors join. It is also great fun to take them down to the dog park just a few blocks down. Many restaurants have outside dining and allow you to dine with your pups. Most will offer them a water bowl and a treat. There is a generous supply of metered on-street parking ($1 per hour 8am-8pm, Mon-Sat, other hours, city holidays and Sunday are free) right in front of the Cottage. If you prefer a parking garage, one is conveniently located just \~4 blocks West. The location is ideal—close to everything, yet incredibly quiet and relaxing, exactly what we were looking for. The property is charming, thoughtfully designed, and absolutely pristine. Charles is an amazing host. Every detail was clearly considered to make guests feel at home. Both we and our pups felt completely comfortable here; and settled in right away. Street/park and pay parking was easy to use. Charlie, the owner, was great and very accommodating. Checking in and out was a breeze and he even checked in on us via text the day of our arrival. Located right next to one of the plazas. Close to River Street and water. Lovely home, beautifully decorated. Comfortable beds, extremely clean. Charles was very helpful with restaurants, decorations and parking. We loved staying in the historical portion of Savannah - so easy to walk around. House has everything you will need if you want to cook a meal. Parking is easy with Savannah Parking app. We would all stay here on our next trip to Savannah. ##### Jackie S. It is decorated so nicely, the beds were comfortable and everything was so nice and clean. Although we did not cook there the kitchen is well stocked with everything that you would need. Charles even provided a much appreciated parking tutorial.The Cottage is perfectly clean and well equipped - both kitchen and baths. Nothing was overlooked. We could ask for absolutely nothing more!After a day exploring the city or cruising the river the Cottage was a wonderful respite from the heat. Pet friendly provided us a doggie welcome kit w treats and two good sized dog crates for our dogs had plenty of space when we were not there with them. In our 3 night stay, we were called 6 times and texted by the host multiple times telling us the AC was too low and it would “freeze” being set at 66\. The host also remotely raised the AC to 74 in the middle of the night causing us to wake up sweating. We are from the south also and keep our AC (that is much older and smaller) on 64-66 and have not had any issue with the AC “freezing.” Nowhere in the house rules or contract does it state the AC cannot be lowered below 70, so we felt it was inappropriate and an invasion of privacy for the host to keep remotely raising the AC. The calls and texts every day felt like borderline harassment. ##### Eugene S.
