You can tell some parts of the house have been modernized and others have not. The downstairs tub is badly in need of repair/replacement. It was pretty shabby. And, the water pressure downstairs is nonexistent. I felt like I was in a youth hostel in Eastern Europe.The walk into town is farther than you think it will be. There are schools between the house and the town square, which require maneuvering around. Also, it's not advertised that the owners live right next door, which could be a dealbreaker for some, so be aware.Cleanliness was not 100%. There were hairs in the bathroom that were not mine, and the wine glasses and coffee mugs were dusty. I needed to wash them before using them.On the plus side, the beds were insanely comfortable. We slept like babies. And, it's so true about the deer. You see them outside ALL the time. It was adorable. It's serviceable for a short stay but nothing luxurious. With a little time, effort, and money it could be amazing. ##### Samuel G.
