The Hotel is situated overlooking the Baie de Somme so rooms with a bay view are really essential but, inevitably, priced at a premium rate. The decor is somewhat eccentric bing quite dark in places although the rooms are spotlessly clean. It was perhaps unfortunate that our room lacked a shower cabinet as the freestanding bath with attached shower, although functional, did not make showering itself easy. The biggest drawback from what is otherwise a very good hotel with helpful staff, is the lack of parking. Free parking exists but is over a mile away, local on street parking is very expensive with a full 24 hours coming out at nearly 25 Euros.

Good location
Good location though parking was very expensive within the town. Our room was very small and hot and we found the bed hard. Otherwise a stylish hotel with friendly staff. Would recommend a room with a river view as the street side gets a lot of sun and can be noisy in the morning

Boutique hotel with a view of Somme Baie
My husband and I spent only one night while travelling but would love to come back. The village looks delightful, the hotel is very comfortable and the staff are pleasant and accommodating. The only problem for us was the lack of secure car park, which at the same time is not on-site although hotels.com leads to believe it is. The restaurant was closed because it was Monday but we were directed to an excellent bistro about 50 metres away, not cheap but the food was delicious. We could not use the internet in the room. The room as well as the bed were very comfortable; the bathroom had a wet area, which was a plus.

Thank you Ana for your kind post. The location of our hotel, just in front of the Bay and in the center of the village does not allow us to have a private parking. The free parking is however located very near from the hotel and no-one had ever have any problem there. Looking forward to seing you very soon. Kind regards. Laurence

We stayed on 16th and 17th September 2015. Whilst understanding that this is not high season, neither is it the depths of winter and it was disappointing not to be able to get a drink in the hotel, other than in our room, after 9pm. Others may also wish to note that not many places in St Valery are open at this time of year, so choice of places to eat was quite limited - despite that, what we did have was very good.

Bel hôtel bien placé en centre ville. La taille de la chambre un peu juste mais la deco est sympa. Malheureusement le restaurant était fermé suite à rachat. Très bon séjour dans l’ensemble. Merci au personnel très agréable.

Séjour agréable. Hotel assez cosy et bien placé. Le personnel est accueillant et sympathique, la chambre que nous occupions avait une vue agreable sur la baie et etait joliment décorée. Peut etre un petit effort a faire sur le petit dejeuner assez frugal, sinon parfait

Hors de prix pour un hôtel médiocre. Literie beaucoup trop molle, Chaleur intenable (chambre sous les toits au 2 eme étage), chambre minuscule (la salle de bain est inutilement grande en revanche), pas d’isolation phonique. bref on a très très mal dormi.

Veel te duur voor wat je krijgt
Ons vorig hotel in St Valery was volzet, en we namen dit hotel dan maar, een beetje duurder, dus je verwacht nog beter. Helaas, voor meer geld gingen we erop achteruit. Kamer: - een erg kleine kamer (langs één kant van het bed was er 50cm plaats, aan de andere kant 10cm) - geen plaats om een valies deftig te zetten + de badkamer was wel echt OK - heel weinig licht in de gangen - onze kamer was in het dak, geen zicht op de Somme + onze kamer was aan de straatkant, toch niet veel lawaai + ook wel een goed bed Ontbijt - heel veel te duur voor wat je krijgt: +koffie, fruitsap OK. -Maar bij het brood enkel confituur, geen eieren, geen kaas, geen charcuterie + wel mooi zicht op de Somme Conclusie: dit hotel en zeker het ontbijt is veel te duur

Nous avons réservé la suite parentale à 240€. A notre arrivée, la chambre était glaciale, et le réceptionniste a reconnu que les radiateurs n'avaient pas été allumés. Après rappel de la réception, tard dans la soirée après le diner, cela s'est terminé avec des chauffages d'appoint soufflants. La transmission des infos n'a visiblement pas été faite, et la réceptionniste de jour (une autre, donc) nous a indiqué que le chauffage avait été allumé le matin, ce qui était faux, et qu'un commentaire positif sur le site faisait toujours plaisir … Il est inadmissible d'être en anorak dans une chambre à ce prix, il faisait bien meilleur dans le couloir, et nous avons donc laissé la porte de la chambre ouverte pendant un moment. Un geste de sollicitude du propriétaire aurait été bienvenu, d'autant que trois petits déjeuners de trop ont été ajoutés à la facture, qu'il m'a bien pris de relire ! Bon point toutefois au réceptionniste de nuit, seul qui s'est senti concerné par cette mésaventure.
