About this property
Rome House Jambokella in the historic neighborhoods of Monteverde, Gianicolo, and Trastevere
Apartment located in the historic Monteverde area, 15 minutes from the Vatican, across from Villa Pamphili—the capital’s largest park—and just a short walk from the famous Trastevere area and the panoramic terrace on the Janiculum Hill. The apartment is located on a very quiet private street, with numerous shops and services just a short walk away: bars, restaurants, supermarkets, a beauty salon, a wellness centre, a tobacco shop, a newsstand, a pharmacy, banks, and a well-stocked local market. The stop for tram number 8 is 50 metres away (San Giovanni di Dio) and takes you directly to Piazza Venezia, passing through Trastevere, the Tiber Island, and Largo Argentina. Just a 15-minute walk away is the “Quattro Venti” train station, which takes you in just one stop to San Pietro station, where you can pass through the Jubilee Holy Door and admire the splendours of St. Peter’s Basilica, the Vatican Museums, and the Sistine Chapel. From the “Trastevere” train stop, you can also reach the Termini and Tiburtina train stations in 15 minutes and Fiumicino International Airport in 30 minutes. Bus number 44, on the other hand, passes right by the house and arrives at the foot of the Campidoglio steps in just a few minutes. Languages spoken: English, Italian, Portuguese

This is a lovely three bedroom apartment in Monte Verde that provides access to all the sites of Rome while staying in a neighborhood. The apartment is on the first floor, but there is an elevator. There are lots of restaurants within walking distance as well as access to public transportation. We can’t say enough about the wonderful hosts who made sure we had everything we needed and provided us with great recommendations. They frequently checked in to see if there was anything we needed and even helped us with transportation to the airport. I went to their hair salon which is right around the corner and had one of the best blow outs I’ve ever had! It was a wonderful pampering experience, but very reasonably priced. We would definitely stay here again.
We loved our stay here! Owner was very friendly, and gave us a lovely recommendation for dinner nearby. We took the 44 bus into Trastevere, and the 981 into historic Rome centre, very easily accessible & a beautiful stay for our few nights in Rome. Thank you to the owners of the Jambokella, we highly recommend for a family of 4-6. A beautiful kitchen with all the essentials, and very comfy beds, with two spacious bathrooms! Grazie !!!!
There was not 1 thing I could say bad about this apartment the host was helpful and very pleasant and even checked in to see if we were enjoying or needed anything. The local people are all friendly and make you feel at home. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Rome. It was our first visit there and the apartment and host made us feel at ease. They were always available to answer all of our questions and flexible when we needed help. The apartment was very clean and the AC units made it bearable to enjoy Rome in the summer.
