The porch was a wonderful place to enjoy our morning coffee and we were able to have a fire outside one of the nights we stayed; bonus was hearing the owls! It is closer to the water than the pics show. We saw lots of wildlife INCLUDING a local Eagle both mornings either soring, perched or diving into the river. We also saw a river otter, raccoons fighting in a tree until they saw us watching, lol. We heard a few owls as well as other critters. It was SO relaxing as we watched the boaters and skiers. The outside view is beautiful. This is the perfect place for a weekend getaway. It was rainy and then snowed overnight which cut our trip short.
