Perfect relaxed laid back getaway

Amazing place with multiple options to get a spa treatment for your body- hot tub, sauna, pool, fire pit… Just the perfect stay to relax and laz your body!! The hosts are great and sweet people. Good communication and suggestions to live like a local.

A remarkable experience at Mar Bella

Having decided at the last minute to break up our trip from Cape Cod via Cape May with a stay in the Lewes Rehoboth area we were lucky to find this hidden gem of a place. A little slice of the West Indies in Delaware! The Blue Heron room immediately imbued us with a tranquility that really hit the spot after a long trip. Marvelous laid back decor with every detail attended to from ample and tasteful lighting to comfortable and stylish furniture. Nothing was overlooked to make it the perfect stay. 5 out of 5 stars. We’ll be back!

Staying here is very peaceful.

We had our second visit staying here and just like last year, everything was great. Our room was pristine. Everything is very clean and decorated perfectly. This time it was only a one night’s stay but looking forward to coming back later this year for a relaxing getaway. Thank you, Vana and David, for creating this place.

Exceptional boutique hotel

Highly recommended hotel for a weekend escape and relaxing, the place is peaceful with outstanding accommodations, love the turquoise and white combination in the whole complex, we stayed in the Blue Heron room, it was perfect. The hotel is also located in a nice neighborhood and with short driving to Rehoboth beach or Lewes and restaurants. Owners are very courteous and friendly!

Eastern shore long weekend

Mar Bella was a very comfortable and quiet stay for a long, fall weekend that we had planned to explore the eastern shore of Delaware. It was centrally located for visiting local vineyards and wineries as well as breweries. Driving a short time west, we were able to drive scenic byways and walk historic towns. Our hosts were attentive and the property was immaculately clean.

Perfect Stay!

I stayed at Mar Bella in December the night before the Rehoboth Marathon. The Blue Heron room was spacious and well appointed. The hot tub was a delight. My only regret is not staying another night after the race to use the hot tub (again), and give the sauna a whirl. The place was great and I imagine in the summer it would be nice to sit outside the room and enjoy a coffee in the morning. Excellent place to stay!

Mini couple vacation

My wife and I decided to book a mini vacation and while searching for a place to stay we stumbled upon this hidden gem. We weren't sure what to expect but when we got there we were pleasantly surprised at how nice this place in. It was perfect for us close enough to stores, beaches and restaurants but yet far enough from the busy hustle and bustle. It was exactly what we were looking for. The room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, the hosts were super friendly and great at communicating. The amenities were nice, we enjoyed the hot tub, the fire pit at night before bed, the pool was nice and clean. Im glad we found this place and we are already planning on going back very soon.

It’s a gem! So close to everything and such a great retreat!

The rooms were clean and comfortable. The shower head pressure was great! The sauna, hot tub, fire pits, outdoor showers, hammocks and pool, all on the property, amazing! They even had level 2 ev chargers right in their parking lot. Plenty of privacy as well as places to gather. And Loved the no kids, no pets policy. It was a true vacation!

AMAZING PLACE TO STAY!!

AMAZING!!!!! From arrival to check out this place is such a gem! David (the host)was very accommodating and could not be any nicer. This place was super clean and very cozy!! The bed was so comfortable and the decor was perfect. It had all that you needed. My husband and I will defintely be back in the very near future!

Beautiful Property!

Mar Bella is a beautiful property. The grounds are so peaceful and the landscaping is well manicured. We loved our room. Perfect for a getaway for the two of us. Close to everything but you did not know it. The place is so tastefully decorated. You have everything you need. We enjoyed our stay and will be back!

Perfect for our night away

My husband and I stayed in the Blue Heron room for a relaxing and romantic night away from the children. The hotel was perfect for this. The room was clean, comfortable, and cozy. We took advantage of the sauna and hot tub. The patio is really cute and the hot tub area was perfect; we visited in the winter and a hot tub in the cold is one of my favorite things! David was very responsive and accommodating. We also loved the stocked coffee bar.

Peaceful Unique Quiet Stay at the Beach

We had a lovely stay in the Blue Heron room. It was spacious, clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. We had the pool (perfect temperature), hot tub and saunas to ourself (midweek, later season). Morning coffee was very handy. The location is out of the hustle and bustle of route 1 but super conveniently located to both Lewes and Rehobeth beaches, shops and dining (10 min). Having access to the lovely outdoor showers after a day at the beach was fantastic. If you are looking for a quiet, lovely beach stay that is not a big box hotel you’ve found your place here. Owners were very quick to respond when we requested ice.

Lovely beach town getaway

This was our second stay at Mar Bella and we will definitely be back. First time we visited we stayed in the main house and the courtyard wasn't fully finished. Even without we were impressed by the room and services so decided to come back. This time we stayed in the Blue Heron room off the courtyard. What a lovely spacious room - it even has its own little patio. We spent more time here this visit - lounging by the pool and bringing takeout back to eat in the courtyard. Didn't get the chance to use the hot tub or sauna but hope to next visit. Location is ideal if you don't mind not being directly on the water. Only a few minutes to Lewes or Rehoboth. Plenty of good dining options nearby - we enjoyed Agave, Crust and Craft and Pink Lotus Cafe. Good communication from owners and easy check in and out.

Luxury accommodations

Let me start off by saying I am not one to be easily impressed by accommodations and therefore don’t write a lot of reviews but this place left me impressed! Our room was absolutely beautiful and had so many modern amenities one would not expect including a sound machine, a very large flat screen tv, a led lighted bathroom mirror, and so much more. The room was incredibly clean and smelled so good! I honestly felt like we were staying in our own private bungalow. The free tea and coffee anytime you want it was a huge plus for my husband. The pool and hot tub areas were beautiful. The property was immaculate and the owners truly did not leave out any details! I loved how this property was tucked nicely away from the road with all of the trees, a hidden gem. All of the plants and greenery were so impressive. Even the rooms had live plants! I love a cozy clean space and I felt like I was at home staying here at mar Bella. I don’t often say I will go back to an accommodation but this place was honestly so impressive that I know we will be back! You won’t be disappointed if you stay here and will feel like you’re at home at the beach!

Great property !

We had a great stay! The room as well as the grounds were beautiful and clean! I enjoyed the free starbucks coffee in the morning and they have a little 24 hour convenience store in the building. We wished the weather was warmer so we could have used the hot tub but I did use the Sauna which was great! We definitely will be back during warmer weather!

Another amazing stay

This was our 3rd stay at Mar Bella and, as usual, it did not disappoint! Each stay is a different experience because each room is different. They’re all so beautiful, I don’t know if I could pick my favorite! The hot tub and fire pit were perfect for the chilly fall evenings and the amazing massage from Tiffany at Mar Bella Spa was the cherry on top of this perfect weekend. I give this trip an A++++++!
