We found the apartment to be clean and well equipped. It has ample parking and a welcoming yard. It is well located. The host is very responsive to texts. We would rent again
My wife, dog and I stayed over the Thanksgiving holiday. The apartment was well appointed with kitchen appliances and implements, and linens. The apartment was very close to our daughter’s apartment and to the Brown campus. Great walking neighborhood and close (within a mile) to several restaurants, CVS, coffee shops, etc. The owner was very responsive to messages.
The house was clean, neat, beds comfy. GOOD Host.
Great location, close to many things and easy to get to others. The Host, Van, is AWESOME. Quick to return texts, helpful.
The grounds could use some attention (we may have been there too early in May) for the grounds to have their "Spring mow and weed".So fun to see the Baby Bunnies hopping thru the yard.
Good location. Met our needs, though not somewhere we’d want to stay beyond a few days. A bit dark, being on the bottom floor. Nice to be able to sit outside under the arbor on the one sunny day we were there. Van was responsive and helpful. Towels and kitchen equipment could be upgraded.

Just okay
The location was good, close to Brown University and restaurants. The host seems nice (allowing us to check out late) and responsive. However, the place and furniture are older than in the pictures. The key to unlock the doors was tricky to use. The worst of all was the sighting of a mouse on two occasions.
Very nice accomodations. Clean and warm. Beds were very comfortable. Place for plenty of vehicles in the yard. Come spring and summer the yard must be beautiful. Close to many food locations as well as stores and transportation. Admittedly didn't spend much time at the apartment but it was a great stay. Owner was very available when needed. Texted back almost immediately. As for the area, very quiet neighborhood. Saturday morning there wasn't a sole on the street and Absolutely no traffic. Beware however, the area is loaded with speed cameras! All in all very good stay!
Really enjoyed staying in Blackstone. The property could benefit from some furnishing updates and a coat of paint. Lodging was very suitable for a long term stay by a couple of retirees and their small dog.
Check in was very easy. WiFi was good, owner was very responsive and quick to respond. Beds were very comfortable also. Within walking dis to restaurant. Would definitely stay again if we go back Providence.
Location was close to other family living in town. Photos appear accurate although a little outdated when we stayed (needs a little tlc) We only used it for sleeping and breakfasts so I can’t comment on being there all day and what restaurants are close by. Stove needs some cleaning and shower needs better slip prevention (mat or newer strips). There is street noise if staying in the rooms adjacent to the street so if you’re a light sleeper it may be uncomfortable. However it met our needs for our stay.
Perfect place for a weekend for myself, daughter, her partner and two dogs. The backyard is a bit scuffy, but the dogs did not mind. The apartment was comfortable and decently equipped, and the location was ideal for exploring the city. Van made it all easy from start to finish- thank you again!

Needs some TLC
Excellent location and quieter than anticipated. Musty odor was a bummer, the shower needs repair and bathroom could use a deep cleaning. Plenty of parking and close to Whole Foods and pizza.

Very nice location near everything in Providence
Owner was gracious and accommodating. Place was spacious, clean with comfortable beds except for 5th person. Says sleeps 5 and expected a pull out bed, but the bed was the couch with linens supplied. (comfortable but not a 5th bed) Plenty of room to support this in the unit. Location is awesome to walk to Thayer street and Brown university. Perfect for a graduation or to attend academic athletic events at the college.

Good, Needs some TLC
The hosts were very responsive, the location was very good, the rental was well stocked (soaps, towels, paper products, spices & coffee) and the mattresses were good. That being said, this unit was not the one in the photos and needs some updating. Our biggest concerns were the windows would not close or lock properly and doors were not secure.

Nice Apartment but needs some updating/repair
Overall the apartment was nice and clean and served its purpose for a place to stay for a few days. The house is on a busy street and there is alot of road construction currently- Not the most quiet especially at night- the owners are kind and pleasant and try to accomodate and answer questions- there are some minor repairs needed within the apartment and the outside of the house could definitely use some new paint and sprucing up.. Again, if you need a convenient decent place to stay for a few days this is a great option

Decent Stay, but With Some Unpleasant Surprises”
The house has several shortcomings. It was generally clean, but there were a few concerning details. For example, in the second bedroom, there were what looked like blood stains on the bed. In the living room, the sofa had a cigarette burn that had been covered with a sheet, which honestly didn’t smell fresh. While the rest of the towels and linens appeared clean, they didn’t smell freshly laundered. There are also things you only find out after arrival—for instance, the front street access is blocked, and the main entrance is actually through the back of the house, which has a small, somewhat neglected garden.Overall, the house isn’t terrible, but for what it is, the price feels a bit high. Cleanliness should be a basic standard.
Great location and exactly what we needed. Brought our miniature dachshund and so happy they could accommodate that. Highly recommend the place!!! Easy check in and check out process as well.
A well equipped kitchen, responsive owners- very considerate, and a beautiful courtyard with flowers all around.
A lovely place to have some coffee, eat a meal or have a drink.
We had a great time!
I have always used Homeaway for my stays abroad, but this is the first time that I used it for a family trip to Rhode Island. The apartment met my expectations, as it appeared just as it was listed online. The check in process was smooth and the owner Van was most accommodating and accessible which was greatly appreciated.
The apartment is an open concept so it was suitable for my ‘almost three’ year old twins. They were able to run, play and have temper tantrums without disturbing anyone since it is on the first floor. There are two bedrooms but we all stayed in the room with the King size bed and it was comfortable.
I absolutely loved the area because it has the energy of college life with Brown University, and the Rhode Island School of Design close by. We took a stroll on campus and it was nice to see. The apartment is not too far from Narangasett beach (about 50 minutes) and close to downtown. Plenty of places to dine and if you’re indecisive like me that might be the only downfall of the area...having too many choices! Other than that, this apartment and area did not disappoint. Enjoy your stay.
