"I had a wonderful stay with my dog at this very old-fashioned family hotel. At first, I was a bit put off because it is very old and rickety. No AC, old shower, dark brown old furniture, small dark corridors, etc. But the place forced me to slow down and relax. The old lady was lovely and answered all my questions with charm and patience. The floorboards were so polished and beautiful. In fact, the place was immaculate. Extremely clean. My bed was old but comfortable, and I was in a top room with a little window which I could open and see over the town. With the fan provided, I was very comfortable and had a great sleep. The shower, with its old mixer tap, was very quick to get to temperature with great pressure. Just loved my stay."

"We were there for 13 nights and the air air-conditioning was awesome in the worst heat wave. The staff are really friendly and courteous. We loved our bedroom and the bathroom was huge. The property is lovely plenty of free parking and the Wi-Fi was great. The Parisian breakfast in the morning is just enough with coffee, croissants, baguettes yogurt, fruit juice, cheese, and ham. You will not regret staying at this hotel!"

I have never before stayed in a hotel or b&b where a coffee in my room has been an extra charge. I have also never been asked to pay to 'hire' a pool towel before! We received one complimentary bottle of water, on what was probably the hottest day of the year, late 30's. The honesty bar was stocked with a minimal choice of drinks. Whilst we enjoyed our stay, for the overnight cost which was almost double that of a good local well known chain hotel, I'm not sure it was good value for money. The chateau is beautiful, but we would have enjoyed our stay more with some service included after a long day driving through a very hot France. However, we now understand the Happimag principles and will bear them in mind for the future."

"We used this motel as a stay over on our way down to Granite lake for fishing. There are purpose built Self contained log cabins in the grounds of the main building which we stayed in. It was perfect for our needs. Very basic but very clean and comfortable which the price reflects and we were 100% satisfied and enjoyed the owners and locals hospitality. The food and wine was very nice too!"

"The area around the property is an old town that has seen better days. Some properties have been restored beautifully and there is some amazing medieval architecture. Very close by is free, convenient parking and the area felt very safe. The patron is charming and helpful and the owner of a nearby excellent restaurant, serving wonderful food. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and we slept very well. Breakfast was continental and more than adequate."
