This two-story island townhouse has two comfortably furnished bedrooms, with a queen bed downstairs and a king in the upstairs loft, and a full-sized sleeper sofa in the living room. The living room is cozy and inviting, with colorful island touches throughout, and the second sitting area upstairs is perfect for curling up with a book or letting kids have their own space to hangout. You also have two private lanais to enjoy: one downstairs with a dining area for 6, and one upstairs with gorgeous views of waterfalls tumbling down the mountains! While the house itself is beautiful, the location is also stellar. Situated perfectly for you to have quick walking access to everything in Princeville, Puamana 26B is a fabulous jumping off point for your island adventures. Anini Beach, home to Hawaii's longest coral reef and perfect for swimming and snorkeling, is just a brief 8 minute hike away on a shady path. The Princeville Shopping Center is only 15 minutes away on foot, and has a Foodland grocery store, Lappert's Ice Cream (made locally!), and a number of dining options that are great for grab-and-go dinners, or a sit down meal! You can also visit the farmer's market behind the Shopping Center every Saturday morning, and grab a treat before enjoying the free Saturday afternoon hula show. The Westin Resort is even closer to Puamana, only 2 minutes walking, and offers access to a Starbucks, grab-and-go minimart, and upscale dining at the Nanea restaurant (head over for happy hour deals from 3-5!). For even more retail therapy and delicious restaurant options, the quirky island town of Hanalei is a 10 minute drive away, as are the iconic beaches of Hanalei Bay. For a quieter experience away from the crowds we recommend checking out the Kilauea Point Lighthouse and nature preserve, or one of the delicious little coffee shops in Kilauea (Trilogy and Kai Bar are two of our favorites!) If you prefer to stick closer to home, the Puamana complex has everything you need for a great staycation! Spend the day lounging by the pool with a cocktail (plastic cups only, please!), enjoy an evening stroll along the golf course greenbelt, or soak up a sunset from your lanai. At night, sit out on your private lanai and take in the thousands of stars that are visible thanks to Kauai's dark-sky ordinances. After your stay here, you'll leave feeling relaxed and refreshed! Want to make your way around the rest of the island? Drive time to the East Side (where the airport is located) is roughly 55 minutes, and to the South Shore is 90 minutes. As with most homes on Kauai, this vacation rental is NOT air conditioned. This is a two-story home. You must be able to go up and down one flight of stairs to access the loft bedroom, sitting area, and upstairs lanai. Although this home has internet, the speed and reliability cannot be guaranteed due to the remote location and the service being provided by a third-party. The condo was a muggy 80 degrees at its coolest and usually 85 degrees, which was especially challenging for me (pregnant) and our toddler. The listing did mention no AC when I booked it, but I must have overlooked it. Overall, location was great and we had everything we needed inside to make our own meals, do laundry, etc. Beach gear was also included, which was super convenient for us.
