3 Days in Positano

The apartment was in walking distance from the ferry mooring. The outside porch with amazing balcony view was spectacular. Comfortable bed, working kitchen and roomy floor plan. The property host was very responsive and checkin was easy. It was a perfect stay for grabbing some wines and groceries, cook and sit out on balcony and watch the Sun go across the sky. I would recommend and would stay again.

Beautiful apartment in the heart of Positano

The terrace offers incredible views of the ocean, very close to the port and main strip. It’s also easy to get to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. The home itself could use some more furniture, but was perfect for two of us!

Beautiful Apartment and Beautiful View

This was our first time to Positano, so we weren't sure what to expect. I frankly was curious whether the view from the apartment would be as beautiful as shown in the VRBO pictures. Yes, it was just as beautiful and perhaps even more beautiful. The location was perfect and allowed us to make easy walks to restaurants and shops. We could not have been happier.

Great for travel with teens

The terrace is large with a beautiful view. Apartment comes with everything needed for a multi day stay. A rack to hang wet beach clothes on the terrace to dry would be a nice addition.

10 star view

We honestly spent almost no time in the apartment except to sleep and catch sunsets. The view is amazing. You simply can't describe it in enough detail or capture it on a camera. You just have to see it for yourself. The apartment was fine. Big guys are going to struggle in the shower a little bit, but it's doable. It's very small. The back porch is spacious and we enjoyed watching the sun go down every night sharing some wine. We ate at the restaurant above the apartment every night.... Da Vincenzo. Awesome food and very fun and attentive wait staff. Dress for a nice Italian dinner. The bed was fine and the room was cool enough.... it has two AC units. There are not too many steps to negotiate when coming from the main road. There is a staircase that goes directly down to the beach but coming back up is a real leg scorcher. There is an easier way..... when returning from the beach there is a different route up to the right which is more of an incline with just a few stairs.... easier but longer. But plenty of pit stops to be had on the way to shop or grab a spritzer. This was an excellent apartment and awesome town. We will be back!

The views of the harbor were amazing! Very relaxing and the terrace was the best part of the accommodation. We found it charming but a bit rundown. The furniture was plastic and cracked and no wine glasses were provided. I saw there were issues with ants on other reviews and even thought we didn’t cook at all the ants were in the kitchen and the lavatory. We enjoyed our visit and hope they update the property as it could be gorgeous.

Absolutely beautiful vacation home. Gorgeous view from the deck. Cute little kitchen that served our needs. Comfortable sleeping arrangements and very comfortable in general. Perfect for our family of four. We loved it! It was a great way to start our Italian vacation. Easy check-in and out. On arrival, not too many steps from where we got dropped off (car from NAP). Many stairs to the sea, but that's Positano! Raffaele responded quickly to the minimal questions we had. Fantastic!

This apartment worked out very well for my husband and me. Rafael recommended a close place for us to park our car for a couple of days. It was easy to walk to town. And the view from the balcony was amazing.

The place had a wonderful view, but I was not prepared for how basic and out of date the furnishings were. The kitchen looked just like it would have looked in 1950. The photos weren't a great representation of how the place looked.

Host was very responsive to texts, house was a bit hard to find at first since it’s not on a Main Street. A/C worked very well which we were very grateful for! FYI: it’s about 250 feet straight up from the dock if you arrive by ferry.

I have been to the coast now 6 times so I know what to expect and not expect. The property had one undeniable highlight: the view was absolutely stunning and easily the best part of our stay. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t quite live up to what was advertised. The listing described the space as suitable for four guests, but in reality, it felt appropriate for just a couple. The floor was sandy upon arrival, and there were ants throughout the stay, which made things uncomfortable and the ants made it into our suitcases and onto my wife’s and my clothes. Towels were scarce — not nearly enough — and the bathroom was a consistent issue. The standing shower leaked onto the floors every time it was used, leaving the floor wet and hard to manage and leaving us with less towels. Also the Wi-Fi 2/10 didn’t work, which wasn’t the worst thing but considering all the other things just made it worse. This view was undeniably beautiful I can’t say that enough but the overall condition of the property in the inaccuracies of the listing made the stay a little disappointing. With improvements I think that this could be a wonderful spot.

I'm giving this a 4 star rating but I wouldn't say it was a bad stay. It was just uncomfortable. First off, yes the view was amazing and the location was perfect. Just high enough that you can see everything but not too many stairs to climb and close to everything. But I wish there were things like a sofa in the main living room, with our son taking the futon there was no where to sit, and the wifi was the worst thing if you're even able to connect. Now I know you don't go to Positano for the wifi however, when you have kids and need to have some home time and have to send things for work every now and then, it becomes extremely important. He said there was shampoo but we didn't see anything, we saw something called "liquid detergent", I really hope thats not what he meant. The bathroom was really small and the shower leaked a lot which left us with fewer towels. So overall it was beautiful, but I dont think I'd stay here again, but if these things don' bother you then I'd recommend it.

The balcony and view were very nice and basically as described. The photos otherwise were misleading. The main bed is in the loft, but the ceiling is very low and the stairs are dangerous. My husband is tall and hit his head. Trying to get down to the bathroom in the night would be frightening. The other bed is like a day bed with trundle. The shower is tiny - really the smallest shower I've ever been in and too small for my husband (he is 6'4 but slim) and me as well. The shower head and shower door leak so there was always water on the floor. The bathroom sink did not drain properly. The kitchen was not at all well-stocked and there were no dish towels to dry dishes - the host said it wasn't hygienic so there were paper towels and no dish rack. There was no cutting board or good knife, and what was there was not satisfactory. The porch light to the alley was burnt out and communication with the host was difficult and slightly adversarial. There is a huge ant problem, but there was a can of spray to kill them. The wifi was spotty at best with a very weak signal when working. We knew there would not be a washing machine, but there was no way to dry clothes if you wash them in the sink. Fortunately we bring a clothesline when we travel just in case. Basically, we were just really disappointed with this property and did not enjoy the host. The listing says "no hidden fees" and yet when we left we owed city tax that wasn't included or discussed beforehand.

Beautiful view from the terrace

This rental was beautiful, they left us a a bottle wine upon check-in which we loved. The air worked really well. We added on an extra night 2 weeks prior to our arrival and they were very accommodating to us. They were a very nice couple and we loved staying there, close to everything. We were surprised that there were over 300 stairs to get to their property. With not being not being familiar with Positano we didn't know about all of the stairs. I think with adding this to the description of the property and telling their guests to contact the porter service, it would help eliminate the confusion when the arrive. But that didn't hinder our experience there at all, that's just a suggestion for the homeowners for future guests.

This apartment overlooks the water and is a short walk to the beach, about 5-10 minutes. The large bed is up in a loft, which was charming & is in the same room as the twin beds. The porch has ample seating to enjoy the view & relax. There is a full kitchen, etc.
