The Pointe du Raz headland is part of the municipality of Plogoff—an extraordinary place that attracts countless visitors every summer. Amid rugged cliffs and emerald-green waters, you can gaze out over the vast ocean and admire the Île de Sein and, on a clear day, the Ar Men lighthouse. The cliffs stretch along most of the coastal stretch belonging to the town. The surrounding nature reserve is a paradise for hikers and nature lovers.

At the entrance to the town, however, you’ll find Loch Beach, a family-friendly swimming beach with a gently sloping shore and small rocks.

The “Baie des Trépassés” beach, located between Pointe du Raz and Pointe du Van, attracts visitors with its magnificent scenery—a paradise for surfers and sunset lovers. This beach is patrolled in July and August.

Audierne, the bustling port town, is just a quarter of an hour away by car. The kilometer-long white-sand beach, which stretches from the departure point for the island of Sein to the centre of Audierne, is considered one of the most beautiful in Finistère. Attractive destinations for day trips include the Pays Bigouden, steeped in Breton traditions, the historic capital of Quimper, and the former sardine port of Douarnenez. Throughout the summer, festivals and celebrations are held where you can experience Breton bagpipe music, dances, and a wide variety of delicious local specialties.
