"Just a wonderful little town. We (4 of us) traveled to 4 Canadian provinces and we loved each one. Shelburne pace was just what we needed before coming home via the Ferry. "The house is in a perfect and very beautiful location at the very end of a dirt road right on the beach where the Sable River meets the Atlantic ocean. You have about a mile of beach to your right and salt marshes to your left. We made plenty use of the kayaks and also went out and did some clamming (delicious!). Everything in the house met our expectations. It was clean and well stocked with paper goods, cleaning supplies and even spare light bulbs. As we always do when renting vacation homes we bring our own kitchen knives and a few other kitchen accessories that we don't want to go without (preparing good food is at the center of our life). If you are like us, you might want to do the same. Communication with the host was prompt and impeccable. They sent us tips for shopping which was helpful. Mind that the local stores have only very limited products but are often really good sources for seafood! We were 6 adults and had plenty of space; even turned the basement family room into our own little yoga studio casting online classes on to the TV. And definitely noteworthy is that the house has a humidity recovery ventilation system which truly kept the in-door humidity (near the ocean!) in check, As for the outside: maybe it was the time of the year, but be aware of the mosquitos :-) Despite those we truly enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again!"
