"The hotel was beautiful and spacious with lovely views. The staff was quirky. The bed was hard and the hot water didn’t really work. One thing to note is the road out there is rough and unpaved. We had one grab driver not be able to make it up and we had to walk in the dark. "

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Ping Koum?
The best time to visit Ping Koum is during the dry season, which runs from October to April.

This period avoids the heavy rainfall and humidity of the monsoon season, offering clearer skies and more pleasant temperatures for exploring the region. The weather is generally sunny and warm during the day, with cooler evenings, making it ideal for outdoor activities and sightseeing.

Couples looking for a comfortable and romantic getaway will find these months perfect. The more predictable weather allows for uninterrupted trekking through the terraced rice fields and enjoying the scenic mountain views, perhaps with a picnic.

For solo travellers, the dry season provides excellent conditions for independent exploration. The trails are easier to navigate, and the cooler temperatures make long hikes more enjoyable.
