My kids love the 70 foot zipline & tree swing. Sit in the deck chairs around the fire pit at sunset and listen to the great horned owls hooting on the lake's island. 5 kayaks, a canoe and fishing poles provided. Board games, card games and puzzles galore. 2 bedrooms sleep 6 easily with a queen bed and 4 twin bunk beds. Close to Petit Jean, Mt. Nebo, Pinnacle Mountain State Park The space The house will easily sleep 6 in the 5 beds. With 5 kayaks and a canoe provided, it is an outdoorsy family dream. We have an 9 and an 12 year old, so we work hard to make this space kid friendly. The tree swing, zip line, fishing poles, kayaks, canoe, board and card games are all efforts to encourage kids to get off electronics. We swim in the lake often and stock about a dozen life jackets, including child, youth, and adult sizes. The lake house is approximately 40 minutes from West Little Rock, 25 minutes from Pinnacle Mountain State Park, 25 minutes from Flatside Pinnacle Wilderness Area, 30 minutes from Petit Jean State Park and 50 minutes from Mt. Nebo State Park. Nearby hiking and mountain biking trails are spectacular. Guest access The brand new 5 person hot tub has been delivered and hooked up. The lake view from the hot tub is unrivaled. Other things to note Three amazing state parks are really close by. Pinnacle Mountain State Park is halfway between the lake house and Little Rock, and the summit offers spectacular views. Petit Jean State Park is the fantastic. The view toward the east over the Arkansas River is splendid, and Mather Lodge Restaurant, overlooking the Petit Jean River Gorge, is a great respite between hiking the Cedar Falls water fall trail and the Rock House Cave trail, just past the Turtle Rocks. But my favorite is Mt. Nebo, where Sunrise Point and Sunset Point offer the best view in all of Arkansas. And the mountain biking is fun for amateurs and some trails are challenging for those who are experienced. Quiet neighborhood on dead end with friendly neighbors and our kids played with their dogs. Great sunrise with ducks and wildlife. Like any lake house there will be some bugs and daily spider webs. We LOVED LOVED LOVED our stay here! The place was immaculately clean! I was impressed by that! It's a beautiful little cozy home that is newly remodeled and omg the windows overlooking the lake are the absolute best feature! Not to mention the zip line for the kids and the kayaks we could use free of charge! We actually decided to spend a whole day not exploring anything and just relaxing in the lake house and kayaking on the lake. We also loved the small loft area. It was so creative how they utilized every inch of the home's space! The yard is open to other neighbors and neighbor's dog which we worried about when we first drove up, however, this wasn't a problem at all! I would give this place 5 stars!!!!! Do yourself a favor and book this home! A very comfortable place to spend a lazy weekend. The host responded very quickly to all messages, and he gave us great suggestions for things to do in the area. There was an osprey nesting offshore, and lots of birds nearby. We went on hikes that the host recommended. Neighbors were all friendly. The kitchen had all necessary pots and pans and tools for cooking all weekend. There is a really nice grocery store in town, too. It was the perfect place to watch the eclipse! We loved watching sunrise come up on the water every morning. My teenage boys and I really enjoyed using the kayaks to go explore the lake and do some fishing. My wife and daughter spent evenings in the hot tub soaking in the views. Jason was great communicating with us about the property. Couldn’t ask for a better experience. This house holds breathtaking lake views that words cannot describe. They are stunning! The hot tub was a huge hit with the kids and the perfect spot to relax from the trails of Petit Jean Mountain! I gave the neighborhood a lower rank only because the neighbors were much closer than anticipated and the very rare moments we encountered them, they were not the friendly ‘wave back’ kind of folks. The dog that wondered onto the property was so kind, but not knowing the dog, we were on alert when he was around. The inside of the house was perfect for the five of us. The ultra plush couch and beds made for a place to sink in to sleep. The only thing I wish I had known before, and this was simply my assumption and not a misguided belief, is the lack of closets or dressers. We don’t like living out of suitcases, and we would have packed differently had I realized there was no place we found to unpack our suitcases. The communication with Jason was quick and responsive. After our conversation he followed it with a picture sent by the previous guest of an eagle on the property and I caught myself getting up early to try to catch a glimpse for myself! Check in and out was simple and easy, no extensive list of check out ‘to-do’s’ just basic common courtesy tasks we would have completed regardless. We enjoyed our stay so much! ##### Dawn F.
