They were doing some renovations across the street that made it very noisy in the room, not the hotels fault just bad timing on our stay. The street is busy with restaurants and bars until late into the evening. The staff was helpful and accommodating. Hotel was decent - we were on the top floor and ceilings were low - about 2m high. Hot water was ok but often turned cold and there was not shampoo or conditioner provided in the bathrooms. Beds were comfortable, windows opened to let in fresh air and coffee machine and kettle helpful. The shower did not feel very clean . The shampoo was not changed once and was empty from the first day . The front desk team had a severe attitude and has no telephone manner . The bathrooms are internal and made the room smell like mould . Many drug users outside the post office building at the end of the road at night and makes you feel incredibly unsafe . Our first room had a wonderful balcony but the room itself smelt a bit musty. Our second room was downstairs so just had a window and there was scaffolding outside the for ongoing building works, so not so nice. The shower in this room did not have a holder up high so you had to hold it in one hand whilst showering which was a pain. Overall, we felt the hotel was pretty good for the price, but if the smell in the first room and the shower in the second were fixed we would have given 5 stars. The area around the property is okay, but equally not the nicest part of Paris. La salle de bain de notre chambre aurait mérité un petit coup de lifting, notamment la tête de la douche qui présentait des traces de moisissures.
