It is merging with the hotel next door and from July will become the Lord Byron. We would certainly recommend the Mayflower which exceeds expectations for a 3 star city centre hotel.The bathroom was more spacious than many a 4 star hotel we have stayed in at a much higher cost in London and other cities. After taking a shower we noticed water somehow leaked thru the tiles on the side of the tub and got on the floor by the toilet. We also never got the right temp setting and had to open the windows to cool the room. There was also an insulated or electric blanket under the sheets that felt too warm although there was no switch.
