"Staff were great, but property was not well maintained. Comfort is important and that is affected by a poorly maintained property. I understand it’s an older property, but making sure everything operates properly is important."
"Everything was good besides the shower tub sounded like it wanted to crack on us and the water pressure wasn’t good either plus water was always hot couldn’t get it to cool down very upset about that!
Room was clean breakfast was small but it was good staff was helpful with pool towels and shower towels.
Would stay again though."
"The grounds were unkept with weeds and partially trimmed bushes. No internet (not their fault) but they didn't seem to have ideas on how to compensate for the inconvenience (it was the NBA playoff night).. fewer items for breakfast than usual (no fried potatoes or bacon).. it was recently redecorated (thanks!) but the workmanship was poor with poor grouting, new hardware on old doors that didn't fit etc."
"The experience was mixed. We didn't expect an older motel in an older section of town. The room was a pleasant surprise: old and dated but very clean and comfortable. It was nice not to feel our feet stuck to the carpet, as often happens in these older places. The fridge had a real freezer that allowed us to refreeze our ice packs. An armchair with ottoman made a much more comfortable stay, along with a small table and two chairs. We couldn't get on the wifi but the shower was hot with good water pressure. The breakfast was minimal and I couldn't even grab a yogurt, as there were no spoons. But the staff was very pleasant. I wouldn't feel bad about staying here again"
"Breakfast??? A frozen sausage biscuit and juice? Next to a full service restaurant??? Garbage. Also had bugs in my room. Had to shake a big black beetle out of my shoe in the morning and knock a spider off the wall before I showered."
"We really enjoyed the accommodations especially for our dogs! Booking through Hotels.com required that I pay the $20 dog fee and more tax at the campground which was fine. The owner communicated this prior to check-in. Just wanted to let other travelers know to expect those."
"The property was absolutely beautiful, especially at night. The owners are very pleasant and went out of their way to make our stay special. I enjoyed working in the renovated Winnebago and hanging out in the outdoor kitchen/cabana area.It was one of the most unique places I’ve stayed and would definitely return if my travels bring me back to Las Animas!"
